The Pelican iM2100 Storm Case with Foam (Yellow) is an injection-molded case made of HPX high performance resin, that is virtually unbreakable, dent-resistant and shatter-resistant. It is tough, rugged, lightweight, airtight and watertight. There is a permanently attached Vortex valve that automatically adjusts air pressure without letting in water, and won't unscrew from the case. Press & Pull latches open with the push of a button, yet stay closed securely under impact or stress. The case has unbreakable molded-in hasps that allow the addition of standard size padlocks. It has hinges with integrated feet that hold fast under impact, and create a flat surface for upright stability. It is carried by a double-layered, soft-grip, solid-core handle that provides strong, durable comfort.
This case has a multilayer cubed foam bottom and a convoluted foam pad in the lid.

Has already weathered the storm of shipping several times. We use it for shipping portable hard drives between our edit facilities, agency, graphic house, etc. This case was the right solution.

I've used Pelican cases for years, there the only ones I'll buy. They've also made the latches easier to use.

Used this to protect my gear on a recent backpacking trip, worked just like I expected. Provided excellent protection and reasonably lightweight for the protection it provides.

Works great while kayaking. If I "feed the fish" the camera is retrievable and secure.Tired of missing good shots because I am afraid to bring the good camera.

Comments about Pelican iM2100 Storm Case with Foam (Yellow):
Bought case for Canon 5D Mark II and 100-400 lens. Fits perfect. Planned to lash it to top of kayak for easy access but never made it to guided kayak trip since water taxi to Aialik Bay from Seward was turned around due to 8-12' seas. Most of the passengers got sick and we all got sea sprayed but my camera stayed dry in the case. Can't wait to try it out on the kayak on our next attempt.

Comments about Pelican iM2100 Storm Case with Foam (Yellow):
I use this case primarily for my Canon 50D w/ 28-135 lens.
I like the versatility with this case. I have plenty of room for the full body (upright) and 2-3 lenses, flat or upright, depending on the length of the lens, extra battery and charger. If I only take a couple lenses with me, I can just pop the foam back into the unused space for security. The fact that it can take a beating and is waterproof are definite pluses.
I haven't found any negatives about this case.
