Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
I was pretty pleased. It is a great set for starting out. I have never used strobes before. this had great build quality. Shipping was free, so that was a bonus. Wish this included a bag, but the box it came with was fine for me. Stands were very sturdy. Love the output brightness control
Only thing i wish worked better for me was the light sensor seeing my in camera flash. the strobes sometimes not sense my flash cause of the angle of how i set them. So looking into getting pocketwizard III's for better performance.

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
I used this set for two events in one day. I put it together and took some practice shots when I first received it to familiarize myself with it. Set up and take down is easy. No carry case but the box it came in actually has a handle and carries everything in relative security. Photographs I have taken with it look great. A fine set for the price and occasional use (which is what I planned on when I bought it).

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
This is my first strobe kit experience, and it's making me really love small studio / indoor photography. The price is right, and everything works just as expected. Like other reviewers, it took me a few minutes to setup the softbox for the first time. No big deal after that. Plenty of power for one or two subjects. If you are looking to pick up your first strobe kit to start learning and playing around with lighting, you can't go wrong here. It simply works as advertised.
For all that, I did have a little trouble properly setting the reflector into one strobe's mounting ring. This took a while to get it to snap into place the first time. The reflector fits just fine on the second strobe.
The softbox works very well. I realize now that I want a much larger softbox for a more diffused light pattern, but that's no fault of the kit. The umbrella is a little flimsy, but if taken care of should work fine for years.
With a little TLC, I expect to use this kit successfully for years to come.

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
I wanted to start a home studio and this kit was the right price. The reviews were solid, so i gave it a shot. I have been blown away by the performance of these lights. Extremely fast recharge times and consistent lighting even on 2 and 3 hours shoots. After about 2000 shots the bulbs are going strong and working perfectly. The stands that come with the kit are sturdy, but i would recommend a weight bag if you are incorporating cross winds that may catch the lights. I would also recommend picking up a good size bag if you plan to carry them around with you. Overall I would say that anyone starting a home studio would be hard pressed to find a better kit for the money.

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
Although this is a great product, the umbrella holes on the light covers do not line up with the holes on the light bodies. I am going to have to trim it out a little so that the umbrella will slide through the second hole on the light body. It will work in the meantime by tightening it up only inserted into the first body hole.
Other than that, everything seems to be great.

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
I normally use flash heads that cost more than this whole kit, so from the start, I was skeptical. I wanted to check this out to see if it was worth recommending to my students - and it is. In fact for the price it is incredible what you get. You get interchangeable bulbs, variable power, a softbox, light stands, an umbrella and sync chords.
But there are some things to be aware of. It is great kit for someone who will take care of it. But it would not hold up to multiple students checking it out.
Everything is a bit thinner than I would like. The light stands are thin, and at taller heights I worry that the softbox will tip over. The powercords are thin and a bit shorter than I would like. The umbrella is flimsy but works well. The metal shades work well, but are so thin you can bend them easily. The sync cords are quite thin so make sure not to stress them.
I was surprised at how nice the softbox is.
The lights work very well, but are not extremely powerful. Ive been shooting with both lights on full power about 6 feet away from the subject. So these lights are good for one or two people. You could maybe get a family of 4 or 5 if they scrunch together.
But it the lights are very portable, it comes with a well padded bag, and it sets up quickly. If you have children, or just want a kit you can pull out to have some fun, this is a must have. If you want a set to learn on, this is great.
I have tried some cheaper sets, and they just are not worth it. This is the least expensive kit you can buy and still have a real lighting experience.

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
This is my first lighting kit and to say I've been pleased is an understatement. I had been wanting to shoot with a softbox and this really fit the bill. I shoot with a Nikon D80 and the only thing I needed to shoot almost right out of the box was a PC adapter to add to my hotshoe. I'm shooting plugged in and haven't tried to go wireless but the slave system works great. You only need to be plugged into one light and the other can be set to fire as a slave which works great. My next purchase will be the softbox that can be purchased separately as I think I'm going to shoot with two softboxes and leave the umbrella for very specific shots.

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
Love this kit. Makes a good starter/on the go kit! I've fired these things over and over and they haven't failed yet. The softbox can be a bit fun to get together, but it's no biggie. The air cushioned stands are a plus. I was looking at a cheaper kit but you couldn't replace the bulbs. These units allow you to change the flashes and the modeling lamps as well. This kit is worth the price! Bravo!!!

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
I got this kit because I wanted to try studio lights and didn't want to break the bank. The monolights are powerful enough for my small/medium studio, recyclye fast, and give great results. The 24" softbox works well as does the umbrella.I added a couple of larger shoot-through umbrellas and get great portrait and glamour shots.
The stands are air-cushioned and decently made. The optical triggers work VERY well(I use the on-camera flash, turned way down(or mostly blocked) and they fire every time.I prefer this monolights' dial to sliders for control.VERY consistent output and quickly recycle.Good resale value.

Comments about Interfit EX150 MK2 Two Monolight Umbrella-Softbox Kit (120VAC):
This kit is great for smaller groups and portaits of just one or two people as the lights are not strong enough for larger groups of people.
Also didn't like the fact that the softbox was pretty hard to put together and is not foldable so you can easily travel with it once it is together, other than that the kit works great, awesome recycle time!
