Browse the entire U.S. 48 states within 400 yards. 14 Map color bands with 0.25 Magnitudes per square arc-second resolution. Click any on map to get 0.01 digital resolution. Dynamic Light Pollution values adjusted to current date to account for annual growth. Find locations by GPS, by City, or by Star Party. Dual Visibility scales - Magnitudes per square arc-second, and Limiting Visual Magnitude.
Includes eyepiece views of M51 under the full range of light pollution conditions. Updated technology computer models provide accurate, high resolution, sky brightness values, based on new statistical modeling of historical census. Benchmarked to measurements in 18 states across the U.S. Statistical accuracy is estimated to be 0.2 Magnitudes per square arc-second.
Includes user adjustments for observers altitude and sky transparency. 2010 update will soon be available.
