Great set of filters to have for the SB-900, recognizes filters for incandescent and fluorescent light so you don't have to change the white balance. Other colors are fun to have for various effects.

Nikon quality gels which informs the flash which colored gel is on the flash. Very useable, very easy to use. What else do say about gels, colorful! Includes nice box for the gels.

Great filter set that is tailor made for the SB 900. My only complaint is that they are flimsy and they are a bit overpriced.

Pros:
Comes in duplicate so if you are using two 900 Speedlights, you are covered.
The gels have a digitgal identifier to communicate with the higher end Nikons and set the correct white balance.
Fits right in the SB900 case without problems.

Cons:
If you fire hot and fast enough, it will cause the gels to crinkle, but that didn't cause any problems with the image.
Costs more than I would've like to spend.

I use these filer kits on location shoots where bigger strobes are not the right solution for the job!! I need color correction and this kit has everything I need for just about every job I've ever encountered!!

Excellent easy to use gels. You get 4 of each. The only downside is they are a tad expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

This is a great filter set to go with SB-900. The color filters add interesting lighting possibilities to any scene. They seem a little expensive but are specially made to communicate with the camera through the flash head.

I enjoy having the extra filters for the SB-900 with the data chip inset on the filter. Not crazy colors just some normal filters with a few simply colorized filters.

Each gel comes in doubles, includes color-correcting gels as well as deep, theatrical/hollywood colors. Great set that will turn your SB-900 into a great accent/mood setting unit.

It works well and adds some variety to the pack that comes with the sb900. My only suggestion would be to add more variety of colors, especially deep hues.

In addition to providing spares for the tungsten and florescent gels that come with the Nikon Speedlights, this kit also provides red, blue and yellow gels that work great to modify the muslin backgrounds I use in the studio, where my subject is primarily lit via stobes in softboxes or behind umbrellas.

The gels tend to wrinkle, especially when the Speedlights are putting out full power, but can still be used with no noticable negative effects. When they do wear out, you have a total of four of each color provided in the kit, so you do have backup.

Been experimenting with these since the day they arrived. Adds a whole new world to light. Love it, can't wait to use in a actual shoot. Love the Blue and Red Filters.

Great little kit, some may not get used much but these are very easy to use with the SB-900, and are auto-detected on the newer Nikon bodies.

Worth the cost over cutting sheets of gels...jury is still out on that. Definitely a cleaner solution, no velcro, etc...these would be a no-brainer if the cost was lower.

Color correcting filters are necessary to match the color of the fill flash light to the ambient light when shooting. SB900 already comes with color correcting gels, and these are also included in this kit. There are also color gels included that allow different colors of flash for special effects.

Color Filter set was great for the Nikon SB-900 flash. Great addition to the limited set that came with the SB-900. Excellent filters for outside night shots.
