Nikon 2-Year Extended Service Coverage (ESC) for Nikon D700 Digital Camera
This Nikon 2-Year Extended Service Coverage (ESC) for the Nikon D700 SLR Digital Camera is offered through Nikon U.S.A. It becomes valid upon the expiration of the Nikon U.S.A. Inc. limited warranty that was included with your camera and provides the coverage specified below for a period of two additional years. During the period of your Extended Service Contract (ESC), repairs resulting from defects in material or workmanship will be performed at no-charge by Nikon Inc.
Note! This warranty cannot be sold to the following states: Florida, Virginia or Washington.

I bought this protection plan because my camera only has a one year warranty. This plan extends the warranty for an additional two years. If there is a problem, I would deal directly with Nikon.

I am neutral on this product at this time. I have never been one to purchase this on any product, car, truck, tv, ect...... I have owned three Nikon cameras including this one and have not had a problem with any. For some reason the voice in my head said, "This will be a good idea this time". We will see how my gut instinct filtered this. At least I have some peace of mind right now by purchasing it.
