The Delkin Snug-It Pro Skin for Canon EOS 40D (Black) provides complete protection for a Canon EOS 40D digital SLR camera. The heavy-duty skin is custom molded for a glove-like fit. The thick skin provides added protection, and ridges molded into the skin allow for a better grip. All controls are molded over and around to maintain all functions. The skin is perfectly molded around the lens mount to provide the maximum amount of coverage while still allowing for quick lens changes. It is made from powder-infused silicone that provides a smooth rather than tacky feel and won't collect lint or debris. There is a hard plastic cover that protects the LCD against damage.

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin - for Canon EOS 40D:
This skin fits perfectly around the camera body and probably offers more protection against mud and a drop from a short distance. You can still press each of the buttons easily.
However, it doesn't protect the lens or offer any sort of waterproofing. It just protects what is already a pretty sturdy camera body. For what it is intended to do -- add some protection to the body -- it does a great job without getting in the way.

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin - for Canon EOS 40D:
It has nice feel, the disadvantage is that it's not cover the camera completely, but it's also advantage since necessary parts are more reachable (approach to the memory card Etc)

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin - for Canon EOS 40D:
I was looking for something to provide protection for the 40D, as I prefer not to use a case whenever possible. The 40D already has a good, non-slip feel, and unfortunately the silicone used in this skin does not provide as secure a grip as the basic camera. Impact protection is pretty good, although the bottom is left somewhat exposed. The lcd cover has popped out once, when it brushed against the side of my jacket zipper. I do like the way all the control icons are impressed into the grip, and the controls you need to access are still easily accessed. If you want a skin to provide protection against the day-to-day knocks your camera gets, this is a good choice, but you will still need to hold on tightly.
