Fits very nicely with a minimum of wires. Setup including programming remote was easy. Sound from 2.1 is very good. Pricey, otherwise 5 strars.

Comments about Bose 3-2-1 GS Series III DVD Home Entertainment System (Graphite):
It's an ok system. I bought it for the small design and clean setup. Sound quality was not the main priority for me as I have other stereo speakers and a dedicated sub. I needed an all-in-one entertainment system for movies that wasn't bulky but still sounded ok. Sound quality is average as far as dynamics. Bass is better than older acoustimass systems and is deep but midrange and highs could be better. I still have no idea why Bose does not use dedicated tweeters. The system is surprisingly loud for something so small. I can crank the volume and there is no distortion and it easily fills a nice size living room with sound. Volume is not an issue as this system will deliver. I would actually recommend this for a mid-size living room or a bedroom or a room without tall ceilings as the sound might get lost in a really big room. Build quality is average. The entertainment unit looked a little cheap to me. Older Bose systems used to use brushed aluminum panels. This unit is made of plastic. It still feels substantial but for the price, I expected more considering average AV receivers are made from metal today. I bought this for movies and the surround sound simulation effect does work with newer movies or older movies like Star Wars. I wasn't really impressed with the sound reproduction from older mono shows which were transferred to DVD. If you plan on using it for music exclusively, skip it and go with a regular stereo setup with a sub. Home theater systems cannot play stereo music properly and likewise stereo speakers cannot recreate theater sound without a 5.1 setup. I wish there were more inputs on the entertainment unit, An extra HDMI would be nice as well as another optical input. The remote is excellent though, it fits well in your hands, it is made very well, and it is easy to use. Adjusting the entertainment unit settings is a pain because you have to adjust bass, treble, and other dynamics via your TV screen. Bass and treble controls should be on the front panel on all systems as those are what you will be changing the most. Also for a unit this size, I wish Bose included a night-time feature that automatically adjusted the dynamics for low-volume listening. Onkyo has it, I don't know why Bose doesn't do it. With this system, you have to really turn the volume up to get the effect, listening to it at a lower volume is useless. I like this system because it fits my needs. If I could only buy one system for my music and movies, I would skip this and probably go with something from NHT or Klipsch, or any other big name brand. I recommend listening to the 321 system first before you buy it. Bose is like the Apple or Rolex or audio speakers. It's a trendy name and it has status but you might not necessarily need the product. On a positive note, it does upscale to 1080p and includes an HDMI cable. For the price, I would expect a DVD changer or at least blu-ray in this day and age. Overall I have no regrets but if money was tight, I would be looking elsewhere for my sound needs.

Comments about Bose 3-2-1 GS Series III DVD Home Entertainment System (Graphite):
I was getting tired of having a complex system with different components (and remotes) for AM/FM Receiver, DVD Player, and CD Player.
Enter the comprehensive solution of the Bose 3-2-1 GS Series III Entertainment system. By using it I was able to replace three components and four remotes with a single component and one remote. This greatly simplified and de-cluttered my entertainment center.
The remote is pretty good although I would've liked it better if it was lighted so that controlling the DVD player in a darkened room would be easier. The sound is pretty good out of the box, but you can significantly improve it to match your room by making adjustments to it.
