This Aquatica housing for the Canon 1Ds Mark III camera is machined from solid aluminum, treated and anodized to military specification, then painted with a highly resistant powder coating. The housing operates safely to a depth of 300' (90 m). This housing will allow you to use the not included Canon 1Ds Mark III, 21.1 mega pixel camera, to push the boundaries of underwater photography to another level.
The lens port has a positive bayonet mounting system, which leaves no doubt that your port is securely in place and watertight. The bayonet system also offers fast access to lenses for rapid changing, and there is a lens release button on the front of the housing to facilitate easy lens changes. The housing allows use of lenses ranging from fisheye to the 200mm macro.
The Aquatica housing uses a viewfinder that offers a big and bright image and full frame viewing to your eye even when you are wearing a dive mask. LCD information in the camera's viewfinder is easily referenced while shooting, and chromatic aberrations have been significantly reduced. An accessory Aqua View Finder is also available giving the user unparalleled viewing of the camera's viewfinder for sharp focusing and exact composition.
The housing features double Nikonos bulkheads. This allows you to easily connect two strobes with two standard Nikonos single sync cords to the housing. The bulkheads allow for precise manual strobe control.
