Designed and built with both CCTV installation pundits and video surveillance operators in mind the Panasonic WJ-ND400/1000 64-Channel NVR combines unsurpassed clarity and functionality by utilizing MPEG-4/JPEG core technology and 1TB hard disc capacity with RAID expandability. Advanced network system control is at your fingertips with the capability of controlling and viewing a wide variety of devices over an Ethernet network. It offers the ability to simultaneously record up to 64 (Megapixel i-Pro) network cameras at an amazing 200Mbps. This NVR's advanced codec and remote capabilities intrinsically meet the high demands of high profile CCTV surveillance operations often required by financial institutions, transportation hubs, retail stores, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, and casinos.
Selectable recording modes/compression schemes enable the recorder to save considerable hard drive space with the ability to prioritize recording between high risk areas and low risk areas. Aside from its rugged chassis, it features an embedded real-time operating system, multi-screen display, VMD Search, flexible playback controls, 9 HDD bay slots with hot plug support, digital zoom on live or recorded video, alarm/event recording modes, motion detection, e-mail notification upon alarm or warning, simultaneous remote accessibility up to 16 users, GUI setup PTZ control, front-panel operation, and rack mounting capabilities.
- High-Resolution i-Pro Network Camera Compatibility
- This powerful NVR is compatible with high-resolution Megapixel i-Pro network cameras. Its recording mode can be set to record high-definition SXGA images (1280 x 960) at JPEG compression. With four times the resolution than that of a standard VGA (640 x 480) CCTV camera, this unit is capable of recording a wide angle view, with the ability to zoom in to the image without losing valuable resolution.
- Advanced MPEG-4 Compression Technology
- MPEG-4 compression/decompression technology is very complex and sophisticated; it intricately analyzes the video signal to maintain superior resolution, especially in smaller file sizes. Due to its compression/decompression scheme, MPEG-4 reproduces high image quality without overwhelming network resources, resulting in better video transmission.
- Expandable Storage Capabilities
- In addition to its built-in 1TB HDD capacity, it features 8 additional HDD slots with hot-swap capabilities, and expandable RAID 5/6 storage capabilities, enabling this NVR to grow with your security needs. It offers the ability to expand up to 54 HDD slots with the use of five WJ-HDE400 extension units.
- IP Network/Remote Accessibility
- This NVR and its functions, including camera PTZ control can be accessed from a remote location via the Internet. It offers an embedded real-time operating system intuitive network software that features Play, Review Play, Pause, FF, REW, Previous Record, Next Record, Previous Image, Next Image, Alteration Detection, Save as JPEG, Two Times Zoom, and Print.
- HDD Space Management
- The internal HDD is divided into 4 sections: Normal Recording Area (manual recording/schedule recording/SD memory data), Event Recording Area (post-event recording/emergency recording), Pre-Event Recording Area (up to 15 minutes with dedicated HDD for Pre-Event), Copy Area (area where copied data is saved).

- It features a fully integrated Graphic User Interface for system setup. It provides User/Host authentication, 4 programmable user levels, 16 user priorities and User-Camera View/Control partitioning set up for advanced user management. Moreover, multi-recorder/multi-site system configuration can be realized with (optional) WVASM100 i-Pro Management Software.
- E-Mail Alarm Notification
- In order to keep users apprised of all important events, this unit can be programmed to transmit e-mail alarm or alert warnings over the network.
- VMD Search Mode
- This convenient search mode quickly locates Motion in a specified area in recorded segments (works with supported i-Pro cameras and WJ-NT314).
- Versatile Image Recording
- Recorded images can be downloaded to a PC; down-loadable viewer software allows playback of images downloaded from the recorder. Images recorded in the SD memory card in i-Pro network cameras can be transferred to the recorder automatically even when the recorder is in recording status.
- Rack Mountable
- The unit is capable of being installed into any standard 19" racking system, taking up only 3 rack units (3RU). This makes it very easy to stack multiple units for increased levels of scalability. This system includes (2) rack mount brackets, (2) rack mount handles, and mounting hardware.
