Comments about Creative Labs ZEN X-Fi 32GB Portable Media Player:
Great alternative to iPod and much cheaper. Sound quality is excellent with the included headphones a cut above the usual middling sets included with mp3 players of competitors. Unit itself is very durable with metal case rather than flimsy plastic. The SDHC card slot gives you excellent flexibility not available in most other mp3 players. Downside is that the memory card is not fully integrated but this can be worked around.
The included Creative Centrale software is a bit of a clunker with poor interface and help files.
Overall a great choice for music.

Comments about Creative Labs ZEN X-Fi 32GB Portable Media Player:
This is a great little player. I was in the market for something with some real storage (my old 8GB Sansa was well past its limits), and this is my second Creative player. I love X-fi on PC, and it works wonderfully here too. Don't let the online reviews scare you. Although the sound quality may have been bad when first released, the X-fi does a wonderful job now that the firmware has improved. I have only used it for music, so I can't comment on the video, radio or other features. Not yet, at least.
So, downsides? Well, there are too many buttons on it. I have not used 4 out of the 8 face buttons yet. I'm not sure what they're for. I don't mind it personally, but I'm sure some people would be confused and/or annoyed. The only other issue I had was a little bit of corruption after syncing, but I'm pretty sure it was my fault, as I pulled the cord too soon. Either way, that can be fixed by going to the recovery mode (hold Play/Pause as you turn the device on), and doing a disk clean-up. Besides that, this device is fantastic value for the avid listeners, like myself.

Comments about Creative Labs ZEN X-Fi 32GB Portable Media Player:
I got it for my wife, she likes it, but I'm not sure she's using all the features.
The sound is great, but I think the battery doesn't last too long. My wife uses it not me.
I bought her the Creative because my old Creative Nomad Jukebox III has been very good.

Comments about Creative Labs ZEN X-Fi 32GB Portable Media Player:
I got this when my Zune malfunctioned, and am very glad I did. I hated my Zune software and the Zen is much better. It supports many more file types for music and video. The internet radio connectivity is interesting. The Crystallizer music enhancement actually works very well for making mp3's sound better. It was smaller than I thought it was going to be, i should have checked the dimensions with a ruler. The speaker on it is loud enough to hear but not disturb. I love that there is an SD card slot, would be great to store movies on. Wish I didn't have to buy the AC power charger separately, a very bad trend shared by lots of mp3 players. navigation is not too bad, but I am having a problem when i play random songs it will very often repeat the same song again, this might already be fixed though, I haven't downloaded any patches or updates yet. I like the microphone too. This is the best mp3 player I've had since my Dell digital Jukebox which I loved to death(literally).
