The WizCom InfoScanTS Elite Pen Scanner is a portable hand-held scanning device and electronic English dictionary with an easy to use touch-screen and icon-based menu. This mobile scanning pen can scan up to 500 pages of text at a time, provide word definitions from the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language and read scanned text aloud in English from within the included Notes application.
InfoScanTS Elite is an ideal tool for students, researchers and business people who need to scan data when they are away from their computers and then transfer it later to a PC as a text file. The Pen can also be used to scan text directly into most Windows-based applications. Use it just like a yellow highlighter; easily get a definition from either scanned text or enter words on the virtual keyboard and get an instant definition; and take the InfoScanTS Elite anywhere you go - this small, portable, handheld device is designed to fit in your pocket.

- Save multiple files of text, up to a total of 500 pages, or scan directly into any Windows based application.
- Scanner supports five languages including English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.
- Define English scanned words in the Notes application using the built-in American Heritage Dictionary.
- Provides optical character recognition (OCR) of a wide range of printed font types and sizes* with the ability to automatically merge hyphenated text.
- The Built-in High resolution touch-screen displays up to 5 lines of text, and provides a virtual keyboard for manual insertion (using a stylus) of words or for text editing.
- USB or IR connectivity enables transfer of data to PC, Palm/PDA or Smart phones.
- Get audio word pronunciations in English with Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology through the built-in speaker or included headphones.
- User interface is easily adjustable for Right/left handed use.

This is a great product! I use it to scan everything of interest. It stores more pages of text than I could scan. I leave my computer at work and upload the scanned text into Word or any other application when I return. Great for research, reviewing contracts and transfering print into Word documents. The InfoScan replaces the need to take notes.

I use this item for taking notes on book reviews and saving info from travel guides. It works very well for lefthanders. The setup was very intuitive. Excellent for saving data and instantly uploading to my computer. Two downsides: it can be slow to display the data after the scan and if you don't scan carefully, you get jibberish.
