Comments about Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder (Black):
I Like the camera itself, lots of great features. One thing that bugs me is that i have to crop the image, losing valuable footage, just for it to be widescren. Other than that, most of the other features work just fine.

Comments about Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder (Black):
This is the best videocamera I have used to film. I'm a free runner and I'm always filming my stunts by myself and trying to find a good angle to make everything look great. The camera is very durable and the built in lens protector ensures that the lens is dust and damage free. This camera lets me film at a great quality the 34x zoom is extremely helpful for me since I film in an urban environment getting the right angle can be tough and often I need to back far away and the optical zoom lets you get up close and personal without sacrificing resolution. The anti-handshake is great for filming shots where the camera follows the runner. The battery life is amazing at 3 hours and can't be beat battery outlasts the time I have on my memory. The swivel grip allows you to film in a comfortable manner and get some really good low to the ground shots excellent if your a skateboarder. All in all this is the absolute best camera you can get for under [$]

Comments about Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder (Black):
I use the camera for pretty much Youtube and thats about it. It does pretty much what it say it does. If your looking for a cheaper camera for internet videos. This is a good buy. The lens cover being part of the camera is great. Dont have to worry about loosing your lens cover. Easy to use for the most part. Oh one other thing great battery life. Things I dont like. The video quality could be a bit better, but for a [$] camera its ok. You pretty much get what you pay for. I also don't like how some of the effects cant be used if this effect or that effect is on. Can be a bit hard to figure out what ones will and will not work with each other. One last thing the whole 16:9 issue. Not a big deal for me since I just use for Youtube. If I had to buy this camera again. I would again great camera for the price. Not the best camera out there. It does get the job done. Oh and also low light quality could be a bit better.

has a lots of benefits with low cost. very good zoom, good lense, a lot of features, easy to use, fast recharge, I liked a lot. the only one thing not good is the comfort to operate, it's a little bit complicated to operate zoom and do not move the image.

Comments about Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder (Black):
This thing is idiot-proof and provides simplicity with very decent video quality. Forget tapes and discs, this (flash memory) is the way to go.
Works great with Macs as well (iMovie, Quicktime, iDVD). Any clown can make decent video out of the box without even reading the manual (on CD only).
Hard to beat at this price point. No complaints at all.

Comments about Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder (Black):
I bought this camera as a quick and easy way to capture family moments. If you're looking for professional video, pull out a bigger wallet.
This camera records at standard video size, not HD--the files are small (for video) and you can even upload them directly to youtube or other video services without messing around with them at all.
As with most (if not all) camcorders at this price point, you'll need plenty of light to get a decent picture.
Nearly all the controls are built into a menu system--you have direct access to almost no settings, so if you are a settings twiddler, be forewarned.
For the money, I like the camera a lot. If you want a tool to be able to quickly take video and share it, this is a great choice.

Comments about Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder (Black):
This is a full-feautured budget flash camcorder, cheap enough to get and lend a few in your next event...
The things I like the most:
- powerful optics
- full-featured menu-driven options including full manual control
- light and tough
- inexpensive
- excellent battery life (actually quite impressive)
- can add lens converters to 30.5mm ring
- "clean" video out while on (recording or not). *allows for other uses
- auto power-off can be turned off *.
- good low-light performance for a low price camcorder
- plethora of options such as various guides, face detection, and the list goes on...
- THE GRIP! A winner. Others should copy Samsung, if they can.
The things I did not like:
- first cam had dead pixel in sensor (not display) noticeable in low-light recordings
- no mic input or headphone jack
- lens size and position limits wide-angle that can be used.. need to be large not to appear in recording while in 16:9 formats. Recommend to test adapter before buying.
- no option for progresive images **.
- ** interlaced video artifacts get in the way of a great image
- ** need to process videos with MPEG Streamclip to convert to progressive and avoid interlace artifacts to appear in finalized videos.
- 30.5 mm ring works best with 30.0 mm devices and adapters. 30.5 mm adapters are just to hard to install and remove. (the ring is plastic)
- sound is okay but did notice electronic noise in quiet surroundings.
- no S-video out. Only composite video.
- no shoe for lamp.
If you are looking for the best camcorder under $250, I think this is it. It is so good for its price that I would stay away from those rectangular non-ergonomic YouTube cams, even if they cost $100 less. This is a true camcorder.
