Pearstone Onyx 1040 Digital Camera/Camcorder Shoulder Bag
The Pearstone Onyx 1040 Digital Camera/Camcorder Shoulder Bag (Black) is designed to carry a compact DV camcorder or a small digital still camera and accessories. It is made from weather-resistant 600 denier ballistic nylon with protective interior padding. The bag uses self-healing, weather-resistant zippers with metal pull tabs to provide easy access to the equipment in the main compartment.
The bag has an exterior pleated mesh pocket on each side for small items such as extra batteries or filters, and a front zippered pocket. The interior has a full-width inside mesh pocket and two memory-card pockets. The bag can be carried by a removable, adjustable shoulder strap with an ergonomic leatherette-covered pad or a soft, padded, ergonomic neoprene carry handle. It has a rear double touch-fastener belt loop, and heavy-duty "D" rings.

This bag seems solidly build with plenty of compartments. The zipper seems solid. It has lots of storage space for all of the junk that a video camera might need. (i.e. wires, memory cards, USB hookups, chargers, etc.) It seems like a good bag. Granted, the test of time is what will tell whether this bag is solidly constructed on not, and I've only had mine for a week. I hope that it lasts as long as it seems that it might.

Used for my family friendly video camera the Canon HF M40. Fits the camera, instruction booklet, and all the accessories that came with it plus a tripod adapter, spare battery, and Hoodman lens hood. Quality construction, adequate padding, two pockets for SD Cards. It is my first experience with a Pearstone product, but if this item is typical of what they produce I am impressed.

All the components of the Panasonic HDC-SD80 camcorder will fit in this bag snugly. Even managed to coil a 6-foot mini-HDMI to HDMI cable and fit it in the bag. The only thing that won't fit is the manual.

This camera bag is very good quality...in hindsight I should have looked at a bigger camera case. This is ideal for a person that likes to make family moments count and will carry what they require comfortably. I on the otherhand have to carry extra cables, extensions cords, wireless microphones, etc. and it is very tight with all of the accessories I need to use. I gave it 5 stars because it is 5 stars...it is my own fault for not considering a larger bag.

I bought this bag for use with the Canon HFS30 camcorder. It's a very nice bag, well built, with a good feel. However, there is not much room once the camcorder is in. I carry the manual, filter case(s), cords and an extra memory card, and while it all fits, it is a very tight fit.

Needed a bag to fit both my camera and camcorder. I was concerned that this bag may be too small for my needs. My fairly large Fujifilm SLR-like camera and my Sony HDD Handycam camcorder both fit in the main compartment even when using the padded divider. The divider is nice so the two items do not scratch/bump/bang into each other.
It has many storage pockets/pouches (mesh, zippered, interior and exterior). I can also carry the camcorder AC adaptor cord, 3-sets of 4-AA batteries for the camera, the RCA cable (yellow, red & white) for the camcorder, 2-spare batteries for the camcorder, extra memory cards for the camera, and lens wipes.
Has convenient and padded hand and shoulder straps. I like the design aspect that when you use the shoulder strap and have the bag resting on your hip, when you unzip the main compartment, the bag opens up just enough to access the camera and camcorder. I was worried that the bag might flip over but it hasn't (yet!?).
This bag fits all of my needs without having to carry a much larger bag. I have had it for 2-months and it was well worth the price.

I have several P&S cameras - a Nikon P7000, a Lumix DMC LX5, and Lumix DMC-ZS5 - that need a convenient storage and transport container. It turns out, this case holds the 3 cameras, 1 EVF, 3 rechargers, a set of USB, video and HDMI cables and several SD memory cards. It would undoubtedly additionally hold a couple of spare batteries as well. It's well made, zippers slide well, padding is good, handle is comfortable and it's compact for the amount of stuff I put in it.

I use it as a gadget bag. I have way too many small things that I need out in the field, but I always end up leaving back at home. Here are a few things I have in the bag: small gorilla-pod for iPhone, small manfroto tripod, mini tripod head, AC and DC adapters for iPhone, Audio cables for iPhone, AAA & AA batteries, band-aids, waterproof/windproof matches, asprin, carmex, swiss army knife, laser pointer, USB thumb drive, tape measure, needle nose pliers, small screw drivers, spring clamps, bungee balls, bandanas, lens cleaning fluid and cloths, spare compact flash drives, small mirror, 5x loop, etc.
