Bought to use on an upcoming trip. Extra lenses fits perfectly, but I did wish it had a neck strap.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 50 Lens Case:
I bought two cases because of the great reviews of this Lens case. Overall I am quite happy about this purchase. Very good build quality although I haven't checked how well it performs in the rain. It is a little bit hard to close the case. And once it is closed, the two metal zipper pull tabs knock at each other and make noises while I am walking. Other than that, nothing to complain about.

I bought several lens cases for my Canon Eos DSLR lenses. The lenses are doubly secure as I store/transport them in these cases inside an equiptment backpack.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 50 Lens Case:
I needed a case to house my Canon 16x35 2.8 when im on jobs and switching between lenses and this case does the trick. Even with the 16x35 in it, it still has room to move but still feels snug and deep. Easy to reach into when needing the lens and even better when you use to to store smaller (50mm) lens. Its well made and feels strong and can take a beating. Priced right too.

This is a very solid case which allows me to transport individual lenses safely either in a normal bag or attached to a belt. Very good value for money.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 50 Lens Case:
A sturdy, high quality product. There's nothing at all to complain about, and the price is very fair. No matter where you choose to store or carry your lens - drawer, shelf, belt, backpack or bag - this case is good protection.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 50 Lens Case:
I have recently been on a trip to the swamps of Louisiana. I took my Nikon camera and all three of my lens. The cases got wet in the rain and through the falls. My lens stayed dry and unaffected. This is the real thing for me. I need not get any other product.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 50 Lens Case:
The Onyx 50 case by Pearstone was purchased to provide lens protection for my Canon EF 50mm F/1.4 and Canon EF 85mm F/1.8 lenses -- both to be stored with their lens hoods reversed and attached to the lens. The cases were well made and provided more than adequate protection for the lenses and with many features that mimicked the more expensive versions. Hence the 4-Star rating and why I thought I had made a solid purchase.
Unfortunately, I ended up returning all my Pearstone lens case purchases to B&H Photo, not because of the construction or quality of the product, rather I found that in all instances if I tried to fit the lens with the hood reversed and attached the fit was just too snug. I could squeeze the lens in with the hood reversed and attached but, I found it difficult to squeeze my fingers in, try to get a good grip on the lens and haul them out once I got them into the cases.
If you do not use lens hoods or have no problem storing them separately then I would heartily recommend the case for the lenses I have mentioned at the beginning of this review.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 50 Lens Case:
I had called B&H customer service and also e-mailed them asking which case I could get to store my Tamron 10-24mm Dii and after about a week their customer service e-mailed that they would go with the Lowepro 1W. The 1W only had an inside dimension of 3.9" diameter listed on the spec sheet at both B&H and Lowepro websites. As I wanted to store the lens with the lens hood reversed and attached, I came to the conclusion that 3.9 would not fit a lenshood of 4.25". I own the Lowepro 2S and it has an inside diameter of 3.7". After trying to load the Tamron into it, I determined that another 1/5 of an inch would still not fit the lens hood...no way. After some more research I found the Pearstone Onyx 50 with an inside dimension of 4.5W x 3.9D. I took a chance and ordered it and low and behold, it fits perfectly snug with the reversed lenshood attached. This is THE solution to Tamron 10-24mm storage and protection.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 50 Lens Case:
I was impressed with the quality of Pearstone's lens case. It is very well made, well padded to protect your lens, the lining is actually an acetate type of material rather than the velveteen that was mentioned in the description, which I feel is better. No "shedding" of velveteen on the lens. The onyx 50 is a perfect size for midrange telephoto lens; I actually use it for my canon 60mm macro EF-S and am able to also store the hood on the lens within the case. There is also an extra removable set of padding to use if you store the the lens without the hood-- it keeps the lens secure. The fact that the outer material is weather resistant and of a very tough 600 denier nylon, lets you carry this case outdoors in any type of weather without worry. There are reinforced belt loops on either side of the case for easy carry on your belt, or use the webbed eyelet loops for a shoulder strap. A very versatile, well made case for an economical price. Glad I bought it.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 50 Lens Case:
I purchased this case for my 24-105 f/4.o lens. While traveling I happened to use it for other two Canon lenses: the 75-300 lens and the 55-250 IS lens. The case was extremely convenient and safe for all the three of them, turning out to be multi-functional.
