This sensor swab specifically directs you to swipe across the sensor once to the right, then back again to the left without removing the swab from the sensor until complete. These directions are in place so that you don't scrape and damage your sensor with dirt stuck to the swab. Unfortunately, it doesn't remove the or lift the particles, instead it tends to push them in to the corner of the sensor.

Worked as promissed but it is very expensive. It cost pennies to manufacture these swabs.
If sensor in your camera is really dirty, do not expect that one swab would suffice. I had to use 2 swabs to get sensor cleaned. Manufacturer's video instruction suggests to wipe sensor with one side of the swab in one direction and then wipe the sensor in opposite direction using another side of the swab. I think better results can be achived if you wipe the sensor twice but in the same direction.

I took off 2 stars for exuberant pricing.

3 out of the 4 swabs had dried out. Contacted Photographic Solutions and they send me some new ones. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the first one was dry and ended up dragging some dust across my sensor.

I noticed that when I took a photo at a smaller aperture (f/8-f/16), I noticed that I had some sensor dust on my Nikon D7000. The first thing I tried was using the Giottos rocket air blower (black ball with red tip). After which I tested the sensor again by taking a pic of a blue sky or white paper using a small aperture and still noticed some dust spots. Then I had to look at getting a sensor swab cleaning solution. I checked around and noticed this one and checked out the video on their website which shows you how to apply. It was very easy to do. I got this one which is pre-moistened with solution unlike the non-plus version which is just the swab.

Simply
1. put your camera in cleaning mode from the menu system (Make sure you have more then 80% battery, otherwise the option is grayed out)
2. take off lens
3. place camera down on non-slip surface
4. use the swab from left to right, without picking it up, go back right to left.
5. discard swab and do not use again.
6. Turn off camera and reapply lens to test.

Side-note.
I noticed that the swab is not the same exact size of the sensor so when you apply it from left to right then right to left, I had to go across the top going right then bring it down some when going back to the left.

It was easy and I tested afterward and I had no more spots. I was worried at first but it took no longer then 3 minutes (although I had to charge my battery first).

Terrible smears and tracks on a sensor of my Nikon D80 after use of this "device".
I had to go to the Nikon's center (340 km from my home) to repair and re-clean the sensor. Obviously, the "Eclipse" fluid that the company used for swabs, has a very low quality. Shame for producer!

I read reviews that you have to use 2 or 3 or 4 swabs to fully clean the sensor but it only took me one to get my sensor (which was in awful condition) completely dust free. Also I did not have any of the other problems with dried out swabs- they performed perfectly as advertised.

These work great to clean the sensor of dust that an air duster can't remove! The price seems a little steep for swabs, but they are worth it.

I used this for my D7000. It works perfectly fine. Just remember to be careful and you must also use a blower. I will use this product again and again.

Disappointed, will not evaporate quickly, smear marks all over the sensor. I know the original solution with the pec pads work, this one does not.

Had not cleaned my sensor for about a year. Had many dust spot that I could see in images. Used these swabs and sensor was good as new.

Extremely unhappy, I have used the eclipse solution many times in my two bodies, and I am not sure what chemical they are using but is not the same stuff. After "cleaning"', and I am using cleaning very loosely, the liquid on the swabs never evaporated neither on the sensor. I threw away [$] bucks, I got two packs, I used 4 from the first pack, the second pack went unopened to the trash.BTW, I am pretty good doing this that type of task, feel very comfortable taking equipment apart and then them putting together, is part of my everyday work.Do not buy this product, it does not work or they have a poor quality control.

I opened the package and two of the swabs were bone dry. The third was okay. At least, I assume it was okay. I am used to wetter swabs. I think the damp one worked alright. In the future, I will buy the swabs and cleaner seperately.

This was the first time I attempted to clean my sensor. This product was great. Easy to use and cleaned beautifully. The only issue I had was the first swab I opened was dry, but the second one was fine and worked great.

This was the first time I have cleaned my own sensor and I wanted to decrease variables for error so I bought these and everything went perfectly. I will probably switch to the bottle os solution and wrap my own, but I'm glad I got to use these to see how it is supposed to look and how moist it should be etc. Also, I imagine these will be nicer to keep in the camera bag when on a shoot.

While these pre-moistened swabs are well made and fit my D7000 sensor cavity fine (Type 2), they unfortunately have a fatal flaw - they contain too much cleaning solution. After the cleaning pass, they left residual cleaning solution at the stopping point, which I was never able to remove. I had to take the camera to Nikon Service for cleaning.

I think it would be better to buy the dry swabs and cleaning solution separately. I imagine you only need a few drops on the swab, not dripping wet like the pre-moistened ones.
