A portable mouse is either so small my big hands get cramps trying to use it or so big as to lack portability.
The folding Arc Mouse is good approach to solving both problems.
One thing I don't like is the large USB device that sticks out of the laptop by nearly a centimeter requiring that it be removed when the laptop is put away.
I have not had the unit long enough to know about it's durability.

This mouse is comfortable and compact enough to fit easily into a computer case. The biggest drawback is the battery life and battery indicator. The battery indicator light isn't viewable from the normal angle of use, so it isn't very helpful. I used fully charged 850mah rechargeable batteries for about 5 hours a day, and they lasted a little less than two months. Not the 6 months estimated that the product claims.
Other than the battery issues, the mouse is comfortable and sturdy. The USB receiver attaches magnetically to the mouse when it is stored, and the whole thing fits easily in a computer case for travel.

I already had an Arc Mouse to use with my laptop only my wife kept borrowing it and it was never around when I needed it so I purchased another and gave it to her. I really enjoy this wireless mouse because it folds up and the USB connector stores right inside it. Battery last a very long time especially when you fold it up when you are not using it. Lightweight, quick, and accurate.
