After one month of use, I am still enjoying this monitor. Got it as an additional display for a work laptop. I specifically wanted a 1920x1200 display vs. 1920x1080, and was glad to be able to find this Samsung at a reasonable price. Since it also has TV capability, I think the remote is handy, even though I have not used it in TV mode. The sharpness and color balance is excellent; it actually makes my Dell XPS laptop LCD screen look inferior in pixel quality. One dead pixel, but it is barely noticeable. Great value for the price considering the features and picture.

For the price, this Monitor/TV packs a lot of punch. It's a fantastic value for a 1080p, with just enough inputs to run the basics. The Touch of Color body is somewhat classy and the picture (that's what you get a monitor for, right?) is terrific - really terrific. I bought this as a primary monitor as well as TV, since my main room is small and my desk is large. It is easy to set up, too. The menus offer a good variety of control to adjust color to exactly the way you like it.The only drawbacks are that the audio could be better (but easily hooked up to your own stereo) and the stand doesn't allow for too many adjustments.[...]

I use the screen for work (I mostly program statistical models and simulations using large data sets, while working on documents). The screen has this neat multi-function capability. I can split the screen into as many screens as I want (three or four seems most appropriate). It's like having an additional 4 laptop screens! I put the spreadsheet of data on one, the code on another, the output on another, my documents on another, and then my music or live streaming things behind one on something else. I still have my laptop in front of me. I can see everything clearly. The 1900x1220 resolution is great for reading text. The screen itself is matte, so it stays bright and clear even while sitting next to a window (I've turned the brightness down, in fact). And as far as image quality goes, I used to love my laptop screen because the colors were so vivid next to my old second monitor. But this new Samsung puts my laptop to shame... I don't even want to look at my laptop to see things in color. The colors on this new monitor are so vivid, bright, and beautiful.

Cons:
1. The screen, while beautiful, is not as flat as I would have liked -- the back sticks out a few inches.
2. The screen rotates, but it does not change height. It's okay for me, but I can see how someone would want that.

This is a great monitor. I bought it primarily for personal computing and music editing. The PC monitor side of the T240HD is what I primarily use it for however it is great that it has a TV input and it has a digital tuner. The TV looks great in HD however SD leaves something to be desired. Overall a great purchase that I do not regret. Its hard to go back to my 15" Mac after just looking at the huge 24" screen!

We were looking for a small flat screen LCD HDTV to replace an old CRT unit in our kitchen and decided on this one after doing a fair amount of research. The picture is great and it is one of a few 24" units with full 1080 capability. Set-up is very easy. The sound is OK (certainly adequate for our purposes), and not poor as some other reviewers elsewhere have opined. [...] the unit arrived on time and in great condition.

Used as a tv connected to FIOS box and DVD player. Good price, great picture lousy sound. Connecting to external speakers, luckily, can correct the lousy sound. Minor annoyance: the tones when turning set on and off.

Right out of the box once you get the stand attached the rest is easy. The menu was easy to use and when i unhooked the antenna converter box what a difference no more interference. It's great to have an HD tv that you dont have use the converter box. The picture is great.

This display is a very good example of how easy it is to make a great one when you really want to. This time Samsung surprised me a lot. This monitor is good for gaming and movies, and I needed them just for these, while I believe, it will fit for working with graphics and video as well.

I am using as both a monitor and a television. The resolution for both is excellent. It's simple to switch back and forth between the two applications. Getting a reliable brand like Samsung while still getting a great price is certainly a good way to go.

I use this lcd in a small room just off my kitchen - it has lots of natural lighting. The picture is clear and vivid. The remote is simple with only the fuctions you really need. The only things that I have noticed at this point that do not care for is the sound - like a cheap set of computer speakers - very weak. Needs to be hooked to a sound system to hear. The screen only tilts back and not forward. Has worked without a glitch for the two weeks that I have owned it (which is two weeks longer that the comparable Viewsonic that I replaced it with).

Purchased this item to replace a 20 inch monitor that was on the fritz. Honestly, it exceded my expectations. Using it as a plug and play monitor, setup was easy and I avoided some of the issues that the included drivers are supposed to have. Images are sharp and details are crisp. The numerous inputs make this very flexible and allow me to go from watching HDTV, to using it as a display for my computer, to viewing HD Videos straight from my Video Camera - all with a flick of the included remote. The only complaint is that the stand will not allow it to tilt down. But really, this is not a big deal. I'm thinking of buying another one to use as a TV in the kitchen.

This is my main display when my laptop is docked. It really is bright and beautiful. I'm not a huge TV watcher, but you can attach it to your cable TV feed and use the remote to watch TV.

My only complaint is that it doesn't tilt.

We use it to do video editing and the resolution and color on this screen is great for this purpose. This monitor is great, it can be used as a TV screen and as a computer monitor and comes with a remote to facilitate both.

I haven't used this display too much yet, but so far it's great; especially for the price. It has multiple HDMI inputs for all your HDTV sources as well as DVI for your computer. I purchased this for my mother to use with a Mac Mini and it does not disappoint. She wanted to have a TV to watch while sewing and needed a new computer-with monitor. This filled both functions for [$]. Can't beat that.

I bought this TV/monitor to replace a 17" CRT monitor.

1080HD TV picture at 24" is almost unheard of. And what a picture it is. I have Verizon Fios and the picture is sharp and clear down to the intricacies in people's complexions.

I use the DVI input to connect my Dell computer at 1920 x 1080 and the text is the most readable I have ever seen even at small font sizes. Graphics are gorgeous too.

Sound it on the thin side but audio out to a good speaker system is a great alternative.

The ATSC digital tuner found all the stations that Fios would allow although except for the major stations they are presented with confusing code numbers. 2-1 is not confusing for CBS (channel 2 NY), but 65-100 for some minor station is. My FIOS provided DVR displays the correct name of the station on a set in another room. Luckily, most stations today use an overlay to state who they are so it is not too bad. I'll just have to make a list.

You can't go wrong with this set. Great price and great picture are a winning combination.

Suitable for bedroom use. Too small for living room. Image quality is recommended. Worth to buy
