• A joined effort between BenQ, OSRAM and Texas Instruments, UNISHAPE (Universal Shaped Lamp Light Light Technology) is a sophisticated color enhancement technology, which adjusts to the overall brightness level of different scenes. With a SP920-customized waveform, UNISHAPE dynamically adapts lamp output to each color wheel segment, thereby overcoming the catch-22 of brightness versus color correction and dark detail enhancement. Conventional projectors struggle with brightness and color correction, optimizing one while unavoidably degrading the other. However, the SP920 offers flexible color correction and loss-free adjustment for images that are up to 40% brighter, yet exceedingly bold.

Dual Lamp Projection

• The SP920 features uniquely positioned dual lamps for class-leading optical efficiency and expanded user usage scenarios. Two 280W lamps output the same 6000 lumens as the competitions' dual 300W bulbs for a 23.5% optical efficiency. Dual lamps also enable users to extend overall operation life and to optimize lumen output according to their applications.

• Dual lamps provide peace of mind in critical situations by ensuring continuous, non-stop operation. Even if one lamp burns out, the SP920 will continue to project with a more-than-sufficient 3000 lumens.

• The SP920 offers three projection modes. The high brightness mode projects the brightest image even in an auditorium. The economy mode slightly reduces the projection brightness in order to decrease the wear on projector lamps, which in turn ensures an interruption-free projection. The single lamp mode further minimizes the replacement of projector lamps.
-Ideal for large, high-ambient-light venues like auditoriums, the "Dual Brightest" mode employs all 6000 lumens to project in dazzling intensity and clarity. Lamp life in this mode is an exceptional 2000 hours.
-A 3000-hour-lamp-life "Dual Reliable" mode outputs 4800 lumens, more than adequate for large lights-on boardroom presentations.
-For fully-lit presentations in average-sized conference rooms, users can select the "Single Alternative" mode, which displays an ample 3000 lumens, for a long 4000-hour operation life that reduces lamp replacement frequency.

• Wall color correction allows projection on surfaces of several predefined colors. In the situation where you are projecting onto a colored surface such as a painted wall which may not be white, the Wall Color feature can help correct the projected picture's color to prevent possible color difference between the source and projected pictures.

11 Predefined Picture Modes

• The projector is preset with 11 predefined picture modes so that you can choose one to suit your operating environment and input signal picture type.

• PC input signals: D-Sub/Comp. (analog RGB) and DVI-D (DVI-D)
Dynamic mode (Default): Maximizes the brightness of the projected image. This mode is suitable for environments where extra-high brightness is required, such as using the projector in well lit rooms.
Presentation mode: Designed for presentations, the brightness is emphasized in this mode to match PC and notebook coloring.
sRGB mode: Maximizes the purity of RGB colors to provide true-to-life images regardless of brightness setting. It is most suitable for viewing photos taken with an sRGB compatible and properly calibrated camera, and for viewing PC graphic and drawing applications such as AutoCAD.
Cinema mode: Is appropriate for playing colorful movies, video clips from digital cameras or DVs through the PC input for best viewing in a blackened (little light) environment.
User 1/User 2 mode: Recalls the settings customized based on the current available picture modes.
