I used this product to amplify my computer sound and presentation. I think it was pretty loud but I think that was because i had a good computer. The sound really depends on the mp3, computer etc system itself. It comes with a case and it is pretty durable and convienent to take around.

I might recommend this depending on the type of sound that they want. It isnt the best sound, but i would rate it higher than average overall.

This speaker is amazing. A bright, crisp sound, and surprising volume considering its diminutive size. Battery life is excellent and the case that came with it is of high quality. I use it everywhere. Only complaint is that the on/off switch is hard to operate.

I first. gave this to my mom, along with the smallest shuffle because she likes to listen to music by her bedside and the radio had to many commercials and music that she did not like. She uses it everyday almost all day. Bought ones for my kids as well! It is an awesome speaker. The music sounds very clear and it is powerful. It can fill the room, with sound, easily.

My truck doesn't have an accessory plug in for my cd player. I set the speaker in my cup holder and plug in my iPod and enjoy all the portable benefits of this great little speaker.

I teach English to foreign researchers and listen to NPR segments in class. I download segments to an
I-pod Touch hooked up to the Orbit speaker and this works fine. The sound is loud enough to carry throughout the classroom. It's easier and more portable than taking a laptop and so much easier to set up.

I am currently deployed and I work out with a few people on the outdoor field. We couldn't hear the sound on my laptop workout videos so I ordered this speaker and it works great! Also perfect for car rides and indoors too. It would be great to have something that didn't use battery power if plugged into a laptop in order to last longer. Highly recommended product!

After searching for a portable speaker for my ipod, I decided to choose this one. It's a great price, it's small enough to pack for travel, and mostly it has decent sound quality for a little speaker.

This thing puts out waayyy better bass sounds than those X-mini speakers. I must also say that it is considerably larger. Definitely not going to fit in your pocket, but perfect for throwing into your backpack. Very loud and awesome bass for it's size (sounds like an iHome player but way smaller)

I was so surprised at the incredible sound this little speaker put out! It was perfect for the beach, which was exactly what I wanted it for. I love the small carrying case it comes in making it easily portable. Highly recommend for ALL ages!

Easy to use, just put the batteries in, plug into the ipod, push the on button and you are in business. I did not realize the case was only for carrying and not usable to protect the speaker when playing it.

Nothing new to add. For the price and size, it sounds great and has good power. It sounds wayyyy better than my Toshiba laptop speakers. Excellent, thoughtful design. It makes so much sense to have just one speaker. Nice zip-up carrying case. I plug this into my ipod in the garden and rock out while I weed! I might take it backpacking. The only problem I can see is that I could forget to turn it off and drain the batteries. If you want ultra-portable amplification for your ipod or laptop, this is it. Oh yeah, the cord is only a few inches long, so you might want to pick up a miniplug extension, depending on your needs.

Much improved from the last generation. Better sound, better power button placement, better cable design, even comes with a case! only downside is it's a little larger than the last generation.

This is perfect when I travel. I use it with my ipod, listening to guided meditation and recorded yoga classes. It's perfect.
