The Elmo DEMO SUV-CAM is a portable camera/recorder system, suitable for sports, security and industrial applications. The camera is small enough to be placed in areas inaccessible to a larger or heavier camera, with the actual number of possible placements limited only by a users imagination.
It can be attached to a motorcycle or snowmobile or placed on a dashboard in a law enforcement vehicle. It can also be worn on a helmet, making it a sure hit with skydivers, mountain bikers, snowboarders and other extreme sport athletes looking to capture video as seen from their perspective.
Video is recorded directly to an SD flash memory card, and can be viewed right on the recorder's 2.2" LCD screen, or it can be removed for playback on a PC.

- Weatherproof Camera
- Not only is the camera ultra small, but it is also weatherproof and can be used in water depths down to 132 feet (40m) with no housing required. 1
- Records to SD Flash Memory Card
- Video is recorded in the MPEG4 compression format and is stored to an SD memory card up to 2GB in capacity. Recorded video can be viewed right on the recorder's 2.2" high resolution LCD display or on any PC running Windows Media Player. MPEG4, with its ability to keep file sizes to a minimum while retaining high video resolution is the preferred compression method for DVRs and related devices.
- Adjustable Video Quality
- A user can choose between three picture quality levels and three recording speeds in order to prioritize quantity over quality or vice versa, depending on a particular application.
- Built-In Microphone
- The recorder features a built-in microphone for recording audio along with the video. An internal synchronization system ensures that audio is always recorded in sync with the video. Alternatively, an external microphone can be attached to suit a particular application.
- A/V Output Jacks
- The recorder features standard A/V output jacks, allowing video to be presented on a large TV or projected on a wall.
- Hold Button Feature
- Recording commences immediately after the red "REC" button is pressed and is paused only when the button is pressed twice. This ensures that recording operation is not accidentally paused while the recorder is being knocked around.
