The Tamrac MX5383 M.A.S. Flash Accessory Pocket - Medium (Black) is a 600 denier Ripstop PolyTek nylon, foam padded pouch for flashes such as; Canon's 430EX or Nikon's SB-600 & SB-800 or light meters. It has a front pocket that provides enough space for batteries or other flash accessories. It is part of the M.A.S. (Modular Accessory System) and quickly attaches to compatible products or to any belt. It has a carry handle and a belt loop.

The plastic case my Zoom H4N came in has a faulty latch - it won't snap completely shut and could fall open any second. I wanted a case to put the recorder in, and this is the PERFECT size, either with the plastic case still on or without the plastic case altogether. You might almost think they made it just for the H4N. Tamrac makes great, sturdy cases and this one is no exception.

I had to return mine, but no fault of the product. I have a Metz 54MZ-4; flash was too large for this particular flash pocket. If you are out of space in your bag, or just want to have the flash more readilly accesible, then this should serve your needs. Just measure your gear and check the dimensions before ordering!(I didn't[...]).

I bought this product because I wanted a way to carry the flash on my belt. The canon case does not have a belt loop. This pocket is awesome so far. EX430 flash fits perfectly and the battery pocket works as advertized. It's great for when you have times that you do and don't need a flash and don't like having the flash on the camera all the time. I never give anything a perfect score.

I bought the MX5383 M.A.S. case to go along with a Tamrac Velocity 6 case.
First, I like traveling light when I shoot and I don't always need extra lenses, flash, etc. With this case, it can be securely attached to the bag when needed or quickly removed when not needed without even having to take the bag off.
Also, the back loop can be opened to attach to any loop, a feature sorely missing from most lens cases.

I have a Tamrac Velocity 7 Sling, and after getting a new lens, had no room left in it for my flash. This accessory pocket worked perfectly, and allows me to remove it when I don't need the added bulk of a flash, but still keeps the flash protected without having to remove it!
