Before purchasing this Flash Bag, I carefully checked out many paying particular attention to dimensions. I wasn't sure this bag would fit my flash because the dimensions of my flash were a bit larger than the description but I wanted something that would protect it more than the box it came in. (I carry it in a backpack with the camera, and several other tools I use as a lighting consultant. It was quite susceptible to damage in its original box.) The flash fit into the bag with ease and the pocket for (8) AA batteries works like a charm as well. It exceeds all my expectations and even though I still move my backpack with care, I'm confident that my flash is now as protected as all the other tools in the backpack. Couldn't be more pleased.

I got the MAS lens case at the same time. I thought this would be more similar to it. The flash pocket is not completely enclosed like the lens case. It's just a velcro flip cover.
I opted just to get another lens case to hold my flash and accessories. That way I know it would be more protected against the elements and nothing would fall out accidentally.

This a a perfect accessory to my Tamrac pro 8 bag. My speedlites are well protected and easily accessible. I love the front storage for batteries and pc cable. I connects to the back with velcro for easy attachment and removal, if I need. I highly recomend this product for Tamrac owners. If you don't own Tamrac products. maybe you should consider them.

Never disappointed by a Tamrac product. Bought this for my 580EX speedlite. Fits perfectly with a diffuser attached. Much better than the case that came from Canon. Really like the fact that it attaches to my other M.A.S. products.

Comments about Tamrac MX5385 M.A.S. Flash Accessory Pocket - Large, Black:
This flash pouch is a perfect fit for my Canon 550ex, both with or without a Sto-Fen diffuser attached. I haven't had it long, but it appears to be well made and of a durable fabric. The padding is thin so the pouch isn't excessively bulky, but it still provides some protection. My only complaint is that strap on the back to attach it to a belt/bag is too wide to fit on the accessory strap of some bags (including my Lowepro Top Loader Pro). Overall, a good flash pouch, especially for the price.

I used it to keep the flash on the belt without carrying a camera bag. I just carried the camera with the camera strap and the flash on my belt, very convenient.

Comments about Tamrac MX5385 M.A.S. Flash Accessory Pocket - Large, Black:
I have this on the side of my Adventure 74 backpack and have been very happy with it. I use it to hold my 580EX flash; it's much quicker to get the flash out of the MAS pocket, as opposed to setting the pack down and opening it up. It also leaves more room in the pack for other gear.
My only complaint is that the battery pocket built into it is a little tight - with the flash inserted, it's hard to get anything in or out of the battery pocket.

I use this to store and carry my Canon 530 flash. It gives a little extra protection, better than sticking it in my pocket as I used to when it drizzled outside!
The battery pocket on the front would have been better if it also had a Velcro closure.

Comments about Tamrac MX5385 M.A.S. Flash Accessory Pocket - Large, Black:
I purchased this flash bag to carry with my Tamrac Pro Zoom Pack as an alternative to carrying a large bag; this is exactly what I was looking for. It attaches to the side, very securely, and exactly fits my SB800 flash. It has a good Velcro closure. Makes getting to the flash very accessible. Front pocket provides enough space for batteries.

Comments about Tamrac MX5385 M.A.S. Flash Accessory Pocket - Large, Black:
the ONLY complaint, and not really against it is that is not 100% compatible with the lowepro belt. the back part that sticks into the belt is way too wide. you can use it but you won't like how it gets squeezed. other than that, great. The velcro is a little too noisy for weddings.

I got this to hold a new Nikon SB900. It's big enough to hold the SB900 (which is saying a lot, given the immense size of this speedlight), but still considerably smaller than Nikon's case that came with the SB900

Comments about Tamrac MX5385 M.A.S. Flash Accessory Pocket - Large, Black:
This pouch is a bit big for a Canon 580EX II flash, but it's the only pouch that I could find. I use it when carrying just a body, but want a flash handy. Since none of my bodies contain pop-up flashes, this pouch is perfect for helping me keep flash power within reach by having it attached to my belt.

Works well with the Tamrac M.A.S. belt. The Canon 430EX II Speedlite in its factory case fits into the main compartment. The outer compartment holds two battery cases each containing four AA batteries. I have several M.A.S. pockets/cases attached to my M.A.S. belt, which places accessories that I use close at hand so that I don't have to dig into the photo backpack.

I use it on a weekly basis for photojournalism assignments and it connects not only to your belt but almost any bags or packs.
This is the best flash pocket on the market, very well made, very rugged, light weight. Love the wide heavy Velcro connecting strap.
