The ARCHOS IMT Battery Docking Adapter charges your ARHCOS 5 Internet Media Tablet's battery in under 2 hours. In the event that power runs out on your PMP the dock back-up battery will run the player while you're waiting for it to charge up. The dock also features a USB 2.0 output and cable for transferring files and an S-Video output, composite output, and stereo audio connections for watching videos on your TV while the dock chargers the Media Tablet.

... system. This is a great idea, works fine, everything great if the Archos system worked. The Archos device is so unstable that is almost useless if you expect things to work.
My honest advise: don't buy Archos

A very handy addition to the Archos. Allowed me to spends a 7 hour travel day connected and entertained.
It is a little larger than I would like but is designed to rest in the hand nicely.
Having a S-Video connection is a nice bonus. If it had an HDMI out, it would have gotten 5 stars.

This is a very easy to use battery, that improves charging time (if your Archos is attached to the battery, it reduces charge time to 2 hours). It's as simple as plugging in the battery, then attaching your Archos. It also allows you to connect your Archos whilst charging, and it also allows you to plug other devices, such as cameras and USB's, so you can copy files straight from them.
Overall, this is a good product, but it does add a bit of bulk, and might not fit on whilst your Archos is in its case.

Handy addition to the Archos 5
Gives a power boost for longer use and allows device to be connected to a TV. An S-video cable & component cable are included.
Comes with power adaptor/charger that can be used internationally. It has several changable plugs for use in US, Europe (German style) and Britain (?) I like that a lot.
