The 90W Smart AC Adapter for Pavilion and Presario from Hewlett-Packard is designed to act as a replacement or spare power adapter for HP and Compaq notebook computers. The adapter is designed to function in the United States but can also function in Europe with a plug adapter. If you have lost your power adapter for your laptop or simply would like an extra one to have around, this is the adapter for you.

Received this HP replacement AC Adapter for my HP dv6707us laptop. HP online only sells a complete ac adapter for [$], instead of the part that you might need.Since this adapter is a 90 watt instead of the 65 watt that originally came with my laptop, it stays a little cooler. It is heavier, though, since it has a dongle and a removable adjustment to ensure it fits into several model HP laptops.I'm hoping that it will last at least a couple of years. On the HP website, many had complained of the HP adapters breaking within a year or so due to the wires becoming disconnected inside the cord.This particular adapter does have a pull-out part that can be bought for about [$]. If the wires become loose, one should be able to repair it without buying a whole new ac adapter.

My adapter died recently out of nowhere, and had to replace it.
After a thorough consultation at the store I was told that this adapter is the exact same one as my old one for my HP Pavillion DV7t.

I had to replace my old HP AC adapter after having it for 3 years and it just died on me. I purchased a universal AC adapter from [...] but it did not fit into my HP. I ordered this one and it fit perfectly, but it also included two additional AC adapter connectors which was nice. I have no problems with it, and it is identical to my previous one.

This is even better than the HP battery the Manufacturer provided with the notebook. I love it. It doesn't over heat as much as my original battery and i believe it's lighter too. Great replacement and priced fairly. Thanks B&H!

My Pavilion DV-6000 computer came with a 65W charger and when I called the manufacturer they wouldn't tell me whether the 90W and 65W were interchangeable. They however had a chart and it said the computer only came with a 90 watt charger. The charger is working as well as the more expensive 65 watt charger.
