Panasonic SDR-S7 SD Camcorder (Blue)
The compact SDR-S7 SD Camcorder (Blue) from Panasonic is a lightweight, convenient camera for those who love to capture all of life's unexpected moments. Just slip the camera in your bag and forget about it until you need it. When you're ready to upload all that unbelievable footage for emailing, printing or sharing on YouTube, SD memory cards (sold separately) make it quick and easy.
When you want to play back your memories in your DVD player the One-touch DVD copy function offers an easy solution when connected to an external DVD burner via USB cable. In addition, the 0.6 Quick Start Function ensures that you'll never miss another great on-the-fly moment again. The SDR-S7S also features a 1/6" CCD image sensor for clear, clean images, a 2.7" wide LCD display for composing shots and playback and Electronic Image Stabilization for steady video. The 10x optical zoom rounds out the great features on the SDR-S7.
- Flash Memory
- Record your video and stills directly to an SD card (sold separately) for easy transfer to your PC for sharing on websites such as YouTube, emailing and printing. A USB host function allows you to burn your video from the SD card to DVD when using an external DVD burner.

- The 1/6" CCD image sensor with an effective pixel count of 300,000 in 16:9 and 340,000 in 4:3 captures accurate, clean video for a beautiful shot every time. The sensor captures stills in 640 x 480.

- The SDR-S7 gives you the option of copying your footage from the SD card to DVD with an external DVD burner, USB cable and the touch of a button.

I really like this product. The video is great quality and I love that it comes with a cable to view your videos on your TV and a USB to transfer them to your computer. It is a great camera considering the low price. It is easy to use and it has a lot of cool features. The only bad things are the limited disk space. I ended up buying a 16 GB card to get more video time. Also the program that comes with it for computer editing is hard to use, and I wish you could just take the videos directly from the camcorder onto your computer without using the program, like you can with digital cameras. Also, the still pictures you take with it are grainy, which is surprising becasue the video quality is always so good.

I was amazed at the quality of the pictures produced by this tiny camcorder. It is so easy to use and the controls buttons are very straight forward. I would buy it again.

Picture quality good for a standard def. camcorder. The best feature is recording to SD cards, I just plug the SD card into the card reader and Vista can play the .mod files directly off the card. If using XP there is a few other steps to playback but not much. Plus its easy to take with you on trips as it is a small, about twice the size of my cell phone.
Only cons so far is that the lens cover does not auto open, its manual (not a big deal). And that the battery only lasts about an hour (already knew this before buying though).
