The Arri T1 Location Fresnel is an updated version of the Compact Series of Location Fresnels. Combining research, feedback from around the world and advances in technology, Arri has designed a series of six Fresnels with over 30 improvements for studio and location lighting. The True Blue Series has reduced weight, compact size and maximum light output.
Arri's cross cooling system reduces lamp housing temperature by 25% and lens temperature by 17%. With special air channels built into the aluminium extrusion, a constant stream of air passes around the Fresnel lens and into the lamphead regardless of the tilt angle.
When fitted with a 1000 watt bulb (available separately) this fixture will provide a 2.8' (0.9 m) diameter beam of 409 fc from a distance of 20' (6.1 m) at full spot. At full flood (same distance) it will provide a 48 fc, 20.4' (6.2 m) diameter beam.

Comments about Arri T1 Location Fresnel - 1000 Watts, Stand Mount (120-240VAC):
I purchased this light in order to enable my friends and I the luxury of shooting on-location with cheap professional lighting, and by Thor's hammer, this is a great light.
Unlike the Arri Pluses, changing the bulb is relatively simpler with a latch that opens the front encasement; My first attempt to change the bulb of my 650w/300w was an ordeal of epic proportions as I had to use several screw bits and put the lights back together with delicate precision (which I don't have).
The tension-hinge control is another great feature, BUT I don't see anyway of sliding the hinge up and down the light, like I would on my 650w/300w: a method of counterbalancing any accessories that are attached to the light. Perhaps this may not be an issue considering the addition of the tension-hinge (with a quick release button!).
Overall I would recommend this product as it'll last you many years, with only the occasional maintenance and bulb replacement, all which are moderately cheap and affordable, making the light pretty much pay for itself in the long run.
