    Coronado

    T-Max 90 - Doppler Tuning Unit

    B&H# CODTUSM90 | Mfr# TMAX 90

The T-Max 90 from Coronado is used to de-tune a SolarMax filter towards the blue end of the H-Alpha line. This is accomplished by changing the angle at which the light passes though the etalon. The wavelengths produced by high-velocity events such as active flares and coronal mass ejections (CME) can Doppler-shift and become invisible to an H-Alpha tuned system. The T-Max unit allows the user to adjust the system slightly to make these phenomena more visible. This T-Max unit is designed to be used with Coronado's 90 mm SolarMax filter.

The T-Max is designed to be placed directly behind the SolarMax filter. It is comprised of two black plates, set screws, and a knurled knob. When the knob is adjusted, the two plates separate. One plate remains parallel to the telescope's objective cell while the other creates an angle between the etalon and the objective cell. The resulting angle is <0.7° - a greater angle would place the filter completely off-band. The T-Max unit is designed to deliver the optimal view within its range of adjustment.

    • Designed specifically for use with 90 mm SolarMax filters

  • Blocking Filter BF-15

    Coronado

    Blocking Filter BF-15

    B&H# COBF15 | Mfr# BF15

The BF-15 Blocking Filter from Coronado is the secondary interference filter in a Coronado H-Alpha solar viewing system. Blocking filters are not stand-alone devices; they must be used in conjunction with a SolarMax filter.

In a solar viewing system, the blocking filter is just as crucial to the viewer's safety and the system's performance as the front element. This 15 mm blocking filter, the BF-15, is compatible with telescopes that have a focal length that is equal to or less than 1500 mm.

Note! SolarMax filters are sold in kits that include a blocking filter. This blocking filter offered here is intended for viewers who have two different focal length telescopes that they intend to use with their SolarMax system.

    • Must be used with a SolarMax filter
    • 1.25" right angle diagonal, image size: 13.6 mm
    • For telescopes with a focal length equal to or less than 1500 mm
    • Limited 5 Year Warranty

    Coronado

    CEMAX Eyepiece Set

    B&H# CO2XB3EPK | Mfr# CEP

The CEMAX Eyepiece Set from Coronado is comprised of the CEMAX 12, 18, and 25 mm eyepieces, and the CEMAX 2x Barlow lens. These are high-quality oculars for telescopes that accept 1.25" eyepieces. The Plossl-type eyepieces feature sharp optics, a compact form-factor, long eye relief, and a standard apparent field of view. The 2x Barlow lens doubles the power of the CEMAX eyepieces, and it is designed with a minimum of components to eliminate spurious light.

CEMAX is an acronym for 'Contrast Enhanced'. Designed specifically for use with Coronado's H-Alpha solar viewing systems, CEMAX oculars are fully multicoated to ensure maximum contrast enhancement for solar viewers. CEMAX oculars are not filters. When employed as part of a solar viewing system, they must be used in conjunction with a blocking filter and a SolarMax filter.

    • Soft rubber eyecup
    • Accepts 1.25" filters
    • Fully multicoated to ensure maximum contrast
    • Long 20 mm eye relief accommodates viewing with eyeglasses

    Sol Ranger

    B&H# COSOL | Mfr# SOL

Solar viewing enthusiasts will greatly appreciate the Sol Ranger from Coronado. This simple yet effective sun-finding solution can be used for locating the sun quickly and efficiently with any SolarMax telescope.

The Sol Ranger attaches to the SolarMax telescope's clamshell mount. A pinhole on the front of the Sol Ranger allows a harmless beam of light to be projected onto an opaque glass viewer when the sun is in the main scope's FOV. The resulting image can be viewed easily from the rear of the telescope - this ensures a rapid and accurate alignment process.

    • Attaches securely to SolarMax's clamshell
    • Designed for use with all Coronado SolarMax scopes with the exception of the SolarMax 40 - to use a Sol Ranger with the SolarMax 40, please purchase the Sol Ranger that comes with the SolarMax 40 Clamshell (B&H# COSOLC).
