Comments about Iomega ScreenPlay TV Link:
Even though it outputs 1080i or 720p through HDMI port or component, it DOES NOT read any Hi-Def format! It reads a lousy standard def format and upscale to HD. Thus, the final image is full of noise and artifacts. If you want to watch any nice HD pictures (real 1080 or 720) don't even consider it!
I guess it works fine for SD users, but its not my case, and I felt really disappointed.

I have been waiting for a product that does not requie computer to view movies for a long time. Its simple and its works a well as a computer.
The set is a little strange but in the end it worked as well.

Comments about Iomega ScreenPlay TV Link:
very easy to set up, small and nimble, works well with just about any media formatted files, even has HDMI A/V port and connects to HDTV and what a difference it makes; talking about a perfect digital picture quality, remote control works really well, absolutely nothing to complain about; when I get another HDMI TV in near future, I definitely get another one of these units. If you want to play back your DVX files, your home movies, etc, all you do is save them on any FAT32/NTSC external HD (which most of them out there are typically these two formats anyways...) and hook it up with this unit and to TV set or home theater system, and fire it up. You will be utterly amazed by its performance coming from a such tiny unit. Great job in producing this unit, Iomega. Thanks.
