Bought this printer largely because the internet reviews were mostly rave, and now I see why. Though I haven't owned it long enough to judge its durability, it has already exceeded my expectations in other ways. It is ridiculously easy to set up, and the MS Office interface is very helpful. The continuous roll labels are very economical, allowing the user to print just the size of label he or she needs for each application. The print quality is surprisingly high, good enough even to print recognizable photographs (in B&W, of course.) The unit is highly portable, and works great with my laptop. In short, I would highly recommend both the product and the retailer!

Using the QL-570 has been very convenient for address labels and other tags I have to create. I only use it in an office setting. Unfortunately, setting up the printer almost made me want to return the thing. Perhaps it is because I am a Mac user and could not find helpful tips online for the issues I was experiencing... who knows. Eventually, the software was set up and then it was rather easy to use.
The printer is compact, but rather heavy for its size. I also think it is overpriced.

I bought one for my office and initally we could not get it running. I sent it back and had it replaced. Not sure if the real problem was the need to download updated drivers, which I had to do with the replacement. Liked it so much, I bought one for home use. It runs great and as expected. It would be very helpful if there were instructions on what to do once you downloaded and opened the zip files for the upgraded drivers.

I got tired of printing on a sheet of labels for just one package so I finally decided on the QL-570. I did a lot of research and it has certainly lived up to it's high marks. Lightning fast and extremely easy to change out the label cartridges.
I have noticed Roman fonts breaking up a bit when very small but anything 12pt or higher looks amazing.
I only wish I would have purchased this a whole lot sooner!

We purchased this printer to replace our 1980's dot-matrix label printer: noisy, slow, messy, expensive to operate, and bulky. It had finally gone extinct.
This unit is the exact opposite!
-Other than the auto-cut feature's fun "chop" noise, it is almost silent.
-It is blazingly fast (you can set 300dpi mode for faster printing)
-It is clean (use 600dpi mode for even crisper text/images). 300dpi works for our needs.
-It is tiny. It has a small footprint: 8"L x 5"W x 6"H. Plus, it doesn't require it's own stand.
Other Pros:
-Price: Under $30.00 at B&H!!!
-Low Maintenance: Label refills are inexpensive, and this unit utilizes thermal printing, so there is never ink/toner cartridges to buy.
-Versatile: There is a free software development kit you can download so you can automate label printing to work with any database and any automated purpose your imagination and programming skills can conjure! We needed to interface with dBASE, and I had a working program going in minutes!

Installation is easy. Install the software, plug in the printer and done. Just need to spend a few min. to go through the options to know what does what. It's as easy as using msn.
Looks like it's built tough, but the time will tell how reliable it is.
Con's some other label printers from brother have bigger selection of labels, that can be used.

This is the first label printer that I have had or used. It is very fast. I just use it ocassionally (about once a week). I haven't really tried out the included software to add graphics to my mailing labels. For the (sale) price i paid after rebate, I'm very happy. I've own it for a year.

This label printer is just what I needed. It costs way less than at all other stores I searched online. I am very impressed at how fast it prints out, as soon as you click print the label immediately comes out and it prints so clear. Not blurred, no bleeding, and nothing smeared. Very easy to set up and install, it comes with a few software programs for designing fancy labels. I haven't used any but the regular printing software. Copy, paste, print. Thanks it.

I bought this because I never print the same number of labels at one time. I have been using sheets of labels in a laser printer for years, but this is way more convenient.
The sofware installed easily and the printer worked within minutes of taking it out of the box. The software is a bit confunsing, but the printer works as it with MS Word and with WordPerfect. I can't imaging it being any easier.

I've had it installed 24 hrs now and have used it 5 times. Two mailing labels for envelopes that wouldn't fit in my printer, one to identify the contents of a box and two to identify the pills my dog takes that I place in spare medicine bottles. It took longer to install the software than it took to learn and print out my first label. Great job Brother!!!
