The AH-C551 in-ear headphones from Denon provide clear stereo sound in a compact, lightweight, and comfortable package. Highly-efficient neodymium drivers provide a wide frequency response, while an acoustic optimizer adjusts the sound pressure balance in front of and behind the diaphragm to give you the best audio quality possible. Aluminum housings ensure neutral and balanced tonal characteristics.
The in-ear design of the headphones helps to naturally block out unwanted ambient noise. Three different sizes of silicone eartips are provided so you can find the most secure, comfortable fit to block out the most noise. A proper fit also helps to improve bass response.
The headphones feature an oxygen-free copper cable which is resistant to tangles, and an extension cable is included for times when added reach is needed. The gold-plated 3.5mm mini plug is compatible with MP3 players, CD players, and more. A hard-shell carrying case is provided for storage and travel.

I purchased this because my Shure SE-210 headphone's wiring became loose. The sounds on this is good with great bass. Not as good as the Shures but the price is worth it. It is also way more comfortable too.

I use it with my iPod and it sounds great, but the wires are too short for my comfortable use even in chest pockets!

Comments about Denon AH-C551 In-Ear Stereo Headphones (Black):
These headphones were a great replacement to my skull candy pair. I was looking for a bit of an upgrade in quality and this pair definitely met my satisfaction. The sound is great and the bass isn't too overwhelming.
I also like how comfortable the ear buds are in the ear. They do not fall out too easily.
Cord is very short but it comes with an extending cord.

I haven't found a store that would let me try out in-ear headphones therefore I just took a chance on a brand name, Denon. :) So far I love the sound quality. I even like the fact that it comes with a short cord + the extension cord because I can hook on my Nokia extension with microphone. The only thing I don't care for is that if I wear it for a long time (over 30 minutes), my ears get tired.
I wish they comes with a clothing clip and a lanyard (go around the neck) like in-ear Bose headset. Since the headphones are heavy/high quality, I don't want them to bang around if I just put them over my shoulder.
Over all, they are excellent headphones. Thumb up from me.

I just upgraded to these from some sennheiser CX300's and wow what a upgrade. They sound amazing. The amount of detail that I hear now is incredible, especially for the price.

I was very happy with my wife Bose in-ear, but I wasn't about to cough up with money for myself. When I came across this one at BH for [$] price range, how could I go wrong with a "Denon". So far I'm please with the bass and clarity sound. My only dislike is that if I listen for more than 30 minutes, my ears would feel tired and I need a quick rest. Otherwise no other complaint from me. :) It is a high quality built headphone I can tell.I'm happy with this purchase.

Bought these for my wife for Christmas. She uses them with her iTouch. They are 100 times better than the original "Apple" ear buds. They have great range, including responsive bass. On top of being a reputable company, B&H had the best price around. Two thumbs up for the headphones AND for B&H

Comments about Denon AH-C551 In-Ear Stereo Headphones (Black):
These do what I want them to do, sound good, have a low profile and block out a decent amount of ambient noise and all at a nice price point. There is no noise that comes from bumping the cord, which I have found in cheaper headphones. And they are reasonably comfortable.

Comments about Denon AH-C551 In-Ear Stereo Headphones (Black):
Good:
- Comfortable; I can wear them all day.
- Block ambient noise very well.
- Good sound quality, especially the low frequency. Hard to beat for this price.
Bad:
- a bit squeaky at times (rarely)
- would be nice to have a slightly longer cable, I always have to use the supplied extension.
A couple minor things would make these the most awesome headphones I've used.
