The Pocket Wizard N90M-ACC Nikon MD Pre-Trigger for MultiMax & FlexTT5 cable connects to the camera's motor drive socket to enable your Pocket Wizard radio slave set to trigger the camera's shutter remotely. This pre-trigger cable is intended to keep the camera constantly "awake". The pre-trigger switch can be set on or off to save battery energy. Once set on the "awake" mode, the camera will trigger much faster but will also use up more battery power.

Comments about PocketWizard N90M-ACC Nikon MD Pre-Trigger Cable for MultiMax & FlexTT5:
I bought this cord to use with a flex to remotely trigger a camera. I wanted to use pocket wizards to trigger the camera so I could still use the TTL functionality of the Pocket Wizard system. The only way we (tech support and I) could get the trigger function to work was to take the flex off of the hotshoe and set them to basic trigger mode. Which means you can't use the flash and trigger mode at the same time.

Comments about PocketWizard N90M-ACC Nikon MD Pre-Trigger Cable for MultiMax & FlexTT5:
This cable has made my D3 100% remote-automated. I can focus and fire it with an SB900 mounted - as the pocketwizard multimax uses the 10 pin connector [not the hotshoe]. With the ACC designation, the D3 isn't un-necessarily draining its battery.
A superb product and now enables me to be in the picture.

Comments about PocketWizard N90M-ACC Nikon MD Pre-Trigger Cable for MultiMax & FlexTT5:
The Pocket Wizard N90M-ACC Pre Triggers work as advertised. The allow one to turn the pre release function on and off remotely to save camera battery power when you set the camera in a remote location the day before an event. With the old style pre triggers I would have to turn the camera and pretriggers on just before the event started or the batteries might be exhaused by the time the event started, preventing the remote cameras from fireing. This new design saves a lot of climbing stairs and catwalks.
