The Pocket Wizard CM-N3-ACC Canon MD Pre-Trigger cable connects to the camera's motor drive socket to enable your MultiMax or FlexTT5 Pocket Wizard radio slave set to trigger the camera's shutter remotely. This pre-trigger cable is intended to keep the camera constantly "awake". The pre-trigger switch can be set on or off to save battery energy. Once set on the "awake" mode, the camera will trigger much faster but will also use up more battery power.
This cable is only for use with the MultiMax. To order this pre-trigger cable for your Pocket Wizard, Pocket Wizard II or Plus, Click Here
Observação! Only for use with MultiMAX with ACC port, MiniTT1 and FlexTT5. Not for Plus II.

I have been using a Timer Remote controller for years. Makes life and pictures so much easier to just press a button when some one expects you to use the camera. It allows you to get good steady shots all the time even when they don't expect it. Works even better when left alone at an event and it just keeps shooting every 30 seconds for hours giving you shots that no one knows how you took. A must for every event photographer. It works best with a tripod.

I bought this to use my PW TT1 to remotely fire my Canon 1D MK IV with a TT5 in the hot shoe. It will trigger it, but not at 10 fps. I called PW Tech Support and they said that I had the right remote cord, but it won't do what I want it to do. You must still use the older PWs to trigger a camera remotely if you want a high frame rate.

Comments about PocketWizard CM-N3-ACC Canon Pre-Trigger Cable for MultiMax & FlexTT5:
The description of the product says that it is compatible with a 5D MK2 but the actual description that arrived with the package did not mention the 5D MK2, only the original 5D. When I try to remotely trigger the camera, there is at least a 2 second delay. I tried using it on a 40D which is supposed to compatible and it was also kind of slow. This cable is currently connected to a MiniTT1 and FlexTT5. I have used the CM-N3 with other models of PWs and it was fast, almost instant and allowed for continuous shooting, however I am not experiencing this same with this setup.

This is also the proper cable if you have the Flex TT5. The older cable will not work with the TT5, you must have this one.
