Comments about MXL MicMate Pro - USB Adapter Interface for Microphones with XLR Outputs:

I use the MicMate Pro for Podcasting and for recording screencasts. It keeps me from having to do complex set-up of an amplifier. I just plug the microphone into the MicMate and the MicMate into may laptop. The sound is very clear and set-up and use is so easy. The pre-amp doesn't seem to have a lot of power for high-volume recording, so I don't know how well it would work for recording music. But it's perfect for podcasting and screencasting.

Comments about MXL MicMate Pro - USB Adapter Interface for Microphones with XLR Outputs:

MXL is one of my new favorite lower cost / great quality go to companies for audio gear. I bought this to hook up one of thier large diaphragm mics to do voice over work in a home studio. Has gain control and headphone jack all in a tight little package that I hook up straight to my mic from a usb 2.0 port. Love It!

Comments about MXL MicMate Pro - USB Adapter Interface for Microphones with XLR Outputs:

I use it with my mac and MXL V63, everything goes so smooth and easy, now my mac can record higher tunes clearly than the build-in mic. The only thing still bothers me, is the noise while recording, probably it is not due to this device, I am looking for a solution for this problem. After all it is a great product according to it's functionality and reasonable price!
