The N2201w 22" 720p LCD TV with Side Loading DVD Player from Viewsonic is the perfect compact display/PC Monitor for areas where space is tight such as dorms, kids' rooms, dens, kitchens and other small rooms. The 22" display features 1680 x 1050 resolution with 1,000:1 contrast, 5ms response time and wide viewing angles. The integrated ATSC/QAM tuner receives digital terrestrial and cable broadcasts. Integrated stereo speakers are each powered by 2.5W for a complete multi-media experience.

The Viewsonic N2201w LCD TV is a great addition to my edit bay as it allows me to combine its features of a computer monitor with a TV along with a DVD player. After acquiring the necessary cables, the N2201w enables me to view my digital computer work both as a computer monitor and via playback thru the DVD player as my clients would at home. Additionally, options on the back of the monitor allow me to connect two computers to my N2201w monitor so I can easily switch between computers (cable not provided). The picture is always sharp and has beautiful color.

I installed this TV/DVD combo on my boat in the salon area and it works absolutely perfectly. Great picture via over the air HD and great DVD picuture as well. Plenty of sound to fill the area and just a pleasure to watch.

We purchased this to replace a Sony XBRITE LCD TV in our bedroom so we could get a disc spinner and a bigger size (the Sony was a meager 17"). Out of the box, build quality is average, you definitely get the feeling of plastic - the roots of this TV definitely carries over from a computer monitor. Things remained just average turning it on - the panel, while large and bright, just doesn't have the contrast and sharpness that I expect from the more premium brands (Sony, Samsung, LG, etc.). For those that are wondering, I used Digital Video Essentials (Blu-ray) from a Pioneer BDP-FD51 to calibrate it. If you're able to extract a better picture, it's beyond my capability. The contrast issue is very noticeable in dark movies, and the sharpness is noticeable running a PC's DVI output into the TV's HDMI input. However, it's priced right (low), and if you're not too picky (or who you're buying it isn't picky) on the picture quality, this TV will go a long way. But I'm picky, so I'll be looking elsewhere if I eventually decide to go bigger in the bedroom.

I ordered the N2201w 22" 720p LCD TV Viewsonic for my son's birthday. He has used it for a month now and it was a great buy. He has it connected to his PC as a very large computer monitor. Also using it for his Playstation and the built in DVD player. I would recommend...great picture and sound. Easy to set up. The controls take some figuring out, but not to complicated.
