I am giving this product 5 stars since it does what it advertises and is made well. Overall its just what it looks like... a piece of plastic that holds thin plastic "gels" over your flash head. I got this as a Christmas gift after sticking it on my B&H wishlist. I figured if I got it as a gift and didn't like it... no harm no foul. As it turns out I love it and plan to use it all the time. No more tape on my gels and cleaning off the adhesive on my strobes. I am using this on my SB600 for now.

I bought this for a canon 580 ex II and it is just a little too small to fit perfectly. I haven't found anywhere online that shows what flashes this filter holder is compatible with but if I had known it was a little too small for the 580 ex II I would have thought twice about getting it. It is however a great idea and it does work on my speedlite; it's just not perfect.

Comments about LumiQuest (LQ-121) FXtra Compact Gel Holder with 8 Rosco Gels:
For the price, it wasn't bad. I have already looking at replacment options, but will hold onto it as a backup. The primary issue is that its a little too small for a Canon 580EX II. Some light will get blocked and some white light will escape and contaminate the color when working in dark enviroment. I think for the smaller flashes, it would work fine. Its also an easy thing to keep in your pack for when you aren't expected to use filters. It might have also been nice to have come with a removable velcro ring to put on flash instead of

Comments about LumiQuest (LQ-121) FXtra Compact Gel Holder with 8 Rosco Gels:
Simple product. Not sure if I would purchase again. The product seemed like a good idea at the time of purchase. However, if you are on a tight budget I think I would pass on this one. The product works as advertised. Basically it just holds a gel over your flash head. Looks good. Getting the gels into and out of the sleeve can be difficult and maybe a pain if trying to work quickly.

Comments about LumiQuest (LQ-121) FXtra Compact Gel Holder with 8 Rosco Gels:
No more taping gels to my SB-800s. This compact gel holder makes mounting gels easy, quick and secure. I always thought that stopping to scotch tape gels to my SB-800s in the middle of a photo shoot was a rather hack (and time-consuming) thing to do. No more. Using the LumiQuest gel holder is the way to go.

Comments about LumiQuest (LQ-121) FXtra Compact Gel Holder with 8 Rosco Gels:
Perfect for the strobist kit for mounting to speedlights. A little difficult and slightly time consuming to quickly change gels in the main part, but once it is setup, it is slick to use.

Comments about LumiQuest (LQ-121) FXtra Compact Gel Holder with 8 Rosco Gels:
I bought it to use with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. It works perfectly in TTL mode on the camera. The FL-36R also has an optical slave mode that allows you to trigger it with a pop up flash, allowing manual wireless mode with any camera with a flash. You have to set the flash power through trial-n-error, use the camera's LCD to check exposure. Turning on your highlight clipping "blinkies" helps when it is too bright out to get a good look at the LCD.

Comments about LumiQuest (LQ-121) FXtra Compact Gel Holder with 8 Rosco Gels:
This is real handy for not only mounting colored gel filters on my flash head, but also for storing the gels when they are not being used. This unit mounts easily on the flash head, and one slot stores the different colored filters while another slot holds the gel(s) you are using in front of the flash head.

Comments about LumiQuest (LQ-121) FXtra Compact Gel Holder with 8 Rosco Gels:
Provides some versatility for my speedlites. I wish it were a smoother fit, especially for my 580EX II. It fits better on my 430EX II but still not a perfect fit. The gels work really well for balancing ambient light and flash and providing some color where needed.
