The Panasonic DMW-LPL46 Polarizing Glass Filter - Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter.
The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.
Note! Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems without problems).

Comments about Panasonic DMW-LPL46 Circular Polarizing Glass Filter:
It is really light, REALLY light. I know it's just a filter but it feels to light to me...
The quality seems fine, turns smoothly with no 'grittiness'. Produces the desired effect when used properly.

Comments about Panasonic DMW-LPL46 Circular Polarizing Glass Filter:
It´s difficult to find one in the top brands with such a small filter thread (when I want one, it´s never available!), so it´s convenient Panasonic offers a dedicated one for my LX3.

I am in such a habit of having to edit the color/light of my outdoor pictures - I pretty much can skip that step on my pics now...
