Glad to finally have a backup battery! Didn't know if they'd be in stock any time soon, but it was worth the wait. Very useful to have a spare while on the go instead of having to pack the charger and cable.
Decent recharge time and the charge lasts long enough to get me through my travels.
The only Con I think of think of (other than the price tag) is that it doesn't come in case but with a simple slip-on (or accidentally fall-off) cap. Expected this since that's how Nikon's slim batteries have been lately... but I like the ones that my 8800 take since they come with a clip-close case.

It's use,however, has not noticably improved my photography.

Purchased as a spare battery. Battery is compact and has a better amperage (1060mA)rating compared to the 3rd-party batteries.
Battery takes 3.5 hours to recharge inside the camera compartment. I won't call this a con for the battery though. Buy Battery Charger MH-65 to recharge the battery outside of the camera.
Nikon must have bundled MH-65 with the camera instead of the cumbersome USB charger.

The Nikon EN-EL12 is a long lasting battery. I can get over 200 shots from a charge.
The battery fully charges in less than 4 hours with the standard wall unit, and you can charge it thru your supplied USB Cable when you attach your camera to a computer.

A digital camera without power is only a very expensive paperweight. You must have at the very least, one back-up battery for your camera, but if you really want to shoot with the best, you need to have three back-ups and these little Nikon batteries take up virtually no space, weigh next to nothing and are relatively inexpensive.
