Comments about Sony DPF-D80 8" Digital Photo Frame (Black):
Its very nice to see the pictures in DPF D80. Also Pic quality is amazing. I would recommend this pic frame those who want to buy a good one. Little bit costly. If it has option to play mp3 or music, that would be great. Some pictures are displaying very frequently whenever go for auto play. I'm going to give this as a gift to my Mom. Final rating 80%.

Comments about Sony DPF-D80 8" Digital Photo Frame (Black):
I had a concern about this frame before purchasing it because others had complained about not being able to transfer modified JPEG files from their computers. I did not have this problem and loaded everything I selected using the USB cable that came with my camera. Operating controls for this frame are easy to use. If I have any negitives it would be the somewhat small internal memory. Sony did a great job at a fair price.

Bought it for my mom as a gift. Loaded it with with scans of old pictures and new ones. They all look amazing! The image quality is superb and the build quality is as usual with Sony, excellent.
I did a lot of research before buying this Digital photo frame as i always do for everything =]. And as some of the reviews that i read say, if all you want is a simple Digital Photo frame that has an excellent image quality, this is what youre looking for. But if you want a frame with features like video support, Wi-Fi, etc, etc, You need to look for other models.
Well worth the price. Highly recomend it.

Outstanding picture quality!!!
PC images need to be saved to unit using Micrsoft Paint however. Use Photoshop to edit and touch up your images first, then save them to a folder as a jpeg. Open the saved images with Microsoft Paint and transfer them to the internal memory of the unit. I don't know why but, many images will not be viewable if saved directly to the unit from Photoshop... Some will work, some won't... Goofy. It took me a while to figure this out, but that's the bug that everyone has been complaining about, and that's the fix for it.

Comments about Sony DPF-D80 8" Digital Photo Frame (Black):
I haven't had the frame very long and haven't tried out all its features, but there are a couple things I really like about this frame. One is that it reads pictures directly from a SD memory card (and many others) which means that it can handle large numbers of pictures. I loaded pictures on a 2GB card and the frame had no problems with it. The other is that the frame can be turned vertically and the pictures automatically adjust. Pictures taken in portrait mode fill the frame (of course pictures taken in landscape mode have black bands on the top and bottom if the frame is in the vertical position).

Comments about Sony DPF-D80 8" Digital Photo Frame (Black):
This picture frame doesn't try to do it all like music, movies, wifi and oh yeah pictures. This frame shows only pictures and they look beautiful. I resized all our digital pictures using Adobe Photoshop Elements to 800x600 without any issues.
No special software is needed, just plug it in to a USB port and your computer sees it as a USB drive, then just copy your pictures over.
