The Back-UPS ES 6-Outlet 350VA 120V Surge Protector and Battery Backup from APC provides power protection and battery backup for home computer systems. The power strip provides surge protection for all devices connected and battery backup for up to three. It yields an average output power capacity of 350VAC at 200W. Battery lasts up to 9.7 minutes at half-load capacity. APC offers guaranteed protection from surges and spikes with their lifetime $75,000 Equipment Protection Policy. These features make the Back-UPS ES an excellent choice to provide power and battery backup for your home PC.
- Battery Backup
- The user-replaceable battery provides 9.7 minutes of backup at half-load and 2.3 minutes of backup at full-load. This gives you enough time to safely shut down your computer in the event of a power outage.
- Data Line Protection
- The surge protector features an RJ-11 surge protection connection that allows you to protect phone-line connection from power surges. This helps to preserve the life of your modem and further protect your computer from surges.
- Spaced Outlets
- The surge protector features two spaced outlets that are designed to accommodate devices with large "power brick" AC adapters. This lets you power and protect these devices without sacrificing another plug due to their large size.
- Audible Alarms

I'm on the computer ALOT ! - sometimes with online classes, and at other times doing image processing and editing with Photoshop ... and I live in Central Florida - the Lightning Capital of The United States ... I needed protection for my computer against surges and sudden power outages - both of which are quite common in my area ... this little UPS back-up power supply unit offers protection against both, and it was surprisingly affordable ... Before I got it, I was taking a risk every time I turned the computer on ... Now, with this UPS, I have a few safe minutes of back-up so I can save my work and shut down my system safely.
I rate it a 4/5 ... maybe better ! ... Get one !

I'm currently using the outlet for my computer desk and it works great. The only drawback to this product is that it only has 6 outlets I usually try to find a power strip that has 8 outlets. But overall I really enjoy the fact that there's a back-up battery that lets it keep my computer powered up until I can turn it off.
