Comments about Primera LX400 Color Label Printer:
Great for small business labels. The only down side is that it goes through a lot of labels if you are only printing one at a time, by the time it re-loads the labels, it by passes about four labels before it finds one to begin printing.

Comments about Primera LX400 Color Label Printer:
As a small winery we needed a cost effective way to print small runs of high quality labels. This printer does just that. We also find the label making software easy to use to customise our own labels and make specialised labels for our customers.
An excellent product that really delivers.

Comments about Primera LX400 Color Label Printer:
Print one roll and the inks out, thats $50+ just for the ink plus the cost of the labels ($20/roll), [...]. Lets do the math, $70/300 labels = $0.23/label. Compared to Professional print service >$0.10, lx400 is best used for short runs.

Comments about Primera LX400 Color Label Printer:
I havent even used my first roll of labels and the ink is already out.
My label has a black background and the color looks dark purple.
The label size choices don't offer 3x5, which is what I ordered from a label supplier for this printer.
I couldn't get my label to print to the right end of the label, so I had to put a white border on three the left, top, and bottom to make it look like I intended to have a white border.

Comments about Primera LX400 Color Label Printer:
I purchased this to make custom labels for my electronics company. I had been using my large format printer before and this is much better for small labels. The printer loads and aligns easily and the media (I'm using only the TuffCoat Extreme) offers results that look very close to a finished laminated label.
Primera's printer driver is along the lines of any other Epson/Canon/HP it has its unique things to get used to but is easy enough after you do.
The NiceLabel SE software that is bundled works sufficiently for basic tasks however it has some bugs/issues. For example when trying to print to 2x8 inch labels using Windows 7 it would simply fail with a useless message along the lines of "Error while printing." Using Primera's knowledgebase I found the problem was it needed to run with administrator privaleges. This really shouldn't be necessary just to print, and Primera tells you to turn off UAC completely, probably not a good idea... If I didn't want to put barcodes on the labels I probably would just use Illustrator or Photoshop.

Comments about Primera LX400 Color Label Printer:
A very great printer but is rather expensive. Does a quality label and you can find different labels. The setup is easy and the printer is very functional in the capabilities. The ink I have found is about $40 a pop but you can refill it.
