Marantz PRC620 Field Case
The Marantz PRC620 Field Case (Black) is a heavy-duty ballistic nylon carrying case made by UDG designed to protect a Marantz PMD620 professional handheld digital audio recorder. It has a zippered pocket for cables, a pouch on each side for an AA battery and three slots inside for SD media cards. The case is carried by the wrist strap supplied with the recorder and it has a shoulder strap loop or a belt loop with "D" ring. The case is embroidered with the Marantz Professional logo.

poorly designed; fine if you just want to carry the recorder, BUT if you plug in headphones or mic, your out of luck; the flap hangs out with no where to go; Marantz clearly didn't have a the user in mind with this case; It should have
two grommeted holes on top that align with the phone and mic jack, so you can protect the recorder while working... it really bugs me when good companies go bad; in this case (no pun intended) the case was not thought out for the user; some desk jokey who has never worked field recording must have thought this up...

The bundle price for the recorder from BH in July 2009 included this holster for free. I was please since you dont get one with the recorder. Marantz should just include this with every purchase. Quality is good like the marantz name. Also lifetime on the case. 3 pockets to hold sd cards. wish they had room for the tripod mount clip.

I was so happy when I spotted this on your website. The website of the place I bought my Marantz unit from had no mention of this case. Naturally, I would have loved a case to have come with the unit, but I am VERY happy with this. It is the perfect size, perfect fit, excellent quality, nice looking, holds extra batteries (I love this feature) and also has an area for SD cards. My only complaint is that the one area for SD cards only fits the card, not the little plastic case they come in. I do not put cards in this place as I want them protected by their plastic holder, so I put them in another little pocket inside this case.
I highly recommend this case, and also acknowledge B & H for having it and for having the nice "accessories" link with all their products. I would have never known of this without that.
