The adapter does what it says it should. I've been in the field several times where the audio guy doesn't have the appropriate for mixing in a laptop. It's come in handy multiple times in the two weeks I've had it. No hum!

We use this device in our School library for presentations and webinars for the students. I work in the audiovisual word and the SoundPort has made things a little easier for me. Before the soundport I needed a mixer and a D.i. Box to play sound from the laptop without line noise The SoundPort has elimanated the need for those items and works as an all in one device. The SoundPort elimanates the line noise and allows for volume control. To use the procuct all you need is an XLR cable to run from the port to the house sound wall jack and you are in business.
