Efke 4 x 5" IR820 Black and White Infrared Film - is a great medium speed film when you want to shoot this specialized type of image. With a spectral sensitivity of 820nm, it turns scenes with foliage and clouds into pure white dreamy photos. With the use of a deep red (or opaque) filter, water and blue sky become deep black. Skin tones and lips turn white.
This film has high resolving power. It features an anti-halation backing that improves sharpness and helps prevent a halo effect.
Note! Testing of this emulsion has shown that best results are obtained by exposing the film at ISO 25 and using an infrared filter such as a Hoya R72, Tiffen #87 or B+W 092 (Standard Red 25A filters are not recommended)
