I use this as an amateur recording for some videos. It's very easy to use and the stand included works very well. Supposedly the internal pop filter doesn't work exceptionally so to be safe I purchased a pop filter with it.

This is being used with an imac to record audio and voice overs/vocals primarily in imovie and garage band by a 12-year-old.
A kid that age is likely to drop it, step on it or otherwise abuse it and break it, so I thought the cheaper the better.
The guy in the store told me that as a dynamic mic, the levels might be low, but he was wrong. The levels are great and the input level on the mac at halfway is plenty fine.
I'm pleased and the mic is busy as it's owner is happily recording his own sound effects and busy auto-tuning his voice to great effect in garage band.

I do a twice weekly online class and this mic has proven to be exceptional, in it's tone and it's ability to pick up sound.
I have it free standing above my computer and it picks up music and voice very well.

I use the product to record vocals and I say it's working great. It will be good for beginners as I'm a beginner. It records clear quality and with the p-popping built in filter, everything just sounds so much better. The only problem with it is that you I don't have a problem with it haha. I recommend all beginners to buy this product if you're starting up in the music industry.
