I got these primarily for voice chatting and they work very well for that. I can't say how the microphone sounds, but the person I chatted with said it sounds clearer than a cell phone.
The phones are pretty decent for listening to music. I say "pretty decent" because I'm a self-confessed audio snob with pretty lofty standards for sound, but these are good enough for me. The lows and mids are great. The bass is especially rich, although I wish these had a clearer high end.
Overall, these seem well made and they are a great deal for the price. The phones fit well and they're comfortable to wear. I like that you can swing the mic out of the way when you're not using it. I would totally recommend these if you're looking for a reasonably priced headset for music or voice chatting. I plan to buy another set soon for a friend.

My son is the expert at destroying headphone microphone combos. He says this is the most durable yet and thiks it will be hard to kill. He also says that it blocks out external noise better than the ones he has used in the past.

I mostly use these for playing video games on my PC. So far I have been nothing but pleased with them. The microphone sounds really good and the headphones also have great sound. I think that I would prefer that they were a little bigger though. The actual speakers are about the size of my ear and don't fully cover them and I don't have giant ears or anything.

An audio engineer recommended this headset when I inquired about what to use for simple podcasting. The look and feel of this headset is most definitely professional. The quality of the recordings is equal to if not better than most podcast I've heard. Great recommendation!

The sound is fantastic - it turns the usually not so great sound of computer speakers into nearly a live performance. I bought them for doing live classes on line but the music is mighty fine. The sound is super loud so be aware the first time you use them.
The directions for Mac users were a bit off. I finally got them working after playing around in System Preferences - Sound - and "output" versus "input" as directed. At times you will need to get back into preferences to get sound again, but when you do it's worth the 5 second effort.

Purchased this to use during internet VOIP meetings due to inability to travel to Europe due to volcanic ash cloud. Really worked well. Recognized immediately by my Dell notebook and was up and running on SKYPE and MS NetMeeting immediately. Phones are fairly comfortable and I wore them for a full 8 hour meeting (with a few coffee breaks). Would be nice if there was a manual mute on the microphone to answer questions from those who wonder into the office during the meeting.

I use the U2 USB Stereo Headphone with Condenser mic to record voice overs for training presentations and videos. Very light and comfortable to wear and easy to use.
The condenser mic is bit sensitive so you must be in a sound dampened environment if you wish to record without background noise. Overall, it is been a good purchase and I will get a lot of use from this Headphone/Mic.
