Letus35 Extreme Starter Bundle for EX1/3 with 45cm Rods
The Letus35 Extreme Starter Bundle is an adapter bundle using the Letus35 Extreme adapter. This bundle offers the Extreme adapter, Sony PMW-EX1/3 camera adapter ring, 45cm rod support system, and a custom case for location transport.
Note! The Starter Bundle requires an optional lens mount for specific lens connectivity.
- Extreme Adapter
- The Letus35 Extreme Adapter is a lens adapter for 35mm still camera lenses to adapt for use on video cameras. This adapter allows the video camera to have access to prime lenses that create a shallow depth of field. The Extreme allows the user to work with an upright image.
- Rod Support System
- The Letus35 LTROD45 is a 15mm rod support system designed from user research and recommendations. This versatile system can be customized for many camera setups including large and small camcorders. As with any rod support system this setup allows optical attachments and lighting control devices to be supported by a sturdy metal base with adjustable rods as opposed to mounting via the filter threads.
- Adapter Ring
- The Letus35 LTRINGEX1 is a specialized adapter ring for the Sony PMW-EX1/3 filter threads. This 77mm ring allows the camcorder to work with the Letus35 lens adapters.
- Custom Case
- The custom case with this kit offers security and physical protection of the optical devices and mounts.

Comments about Letus35 Extreme Starter Bundle for EX1/3 with 45cm Rods:
Most of the time, a camera is only as good as the glass it shoots through, and even though those smaller video cameras out there usually have good lenses, try as they might to make video look like film, with gamma curves and 24FPS progressive scan chips, they will always fall short.
The Letus Extreme takes shooting to not only a higher level, but to a completely different level, in that it renders 35mm lens characteristics to your video.
Using the Letus will increase your set-up times for shots considerably (it's well worth the patience)
It will completely change the way you shoot, whether it be narrative of documentary.
If you are considering buying this adapter, please, please consider Prime lenses for it, you will need them for the Letus to shine like it should.
There are many new and used fast manual prime lenses out there, so you don't have to break the bank right off the bat.
...and a functional knowledge of SLR lenses and photographic experience wouldn't hurt ;-)
