The Casio Exilim EX-Z250 Digital Camera is compact and simple-to-use with a 3x optical zoom that is equal to 28-112mm in 35mm terms and incorporates cutting-edge technologies - all in a camera that exhibits an excellent balance of superior functionality and stylish, compact design that is incredibly slim. The cameras 3.0" wide LCD screen makes it a snap for users to frame their shots and view breathtaking wide aspect ratio images - right on the camera.

The EX-Z250 camera is loaded with features to make your shooting experience fun and easy. It features Face Detection technology so your group shots and portraits will always be sharp and clear, and the unique YouTube Capture mode that records video clips using a video format and bundled software to provide ideal settings for recording, storing and uploading video to the YouTube Site. The EX-Z250 includes 37 Best Shot Modes that help the user take high quality images without having to adjust the camera settings, and for the novice user, the Easy Mode simplifies the camera settings to three easy menus (image size, flash and self-timer), so the camera is set to take great photos in every situation.

The camera also features an innovative Makeup function that creates beautiful photographs of people's faces: high end image processing can smooth skin and soften facial shadows caused by sunlight. The photographer gets to choose to apply such image processing at one of twelve levels, from weak through strong, and can shoot while checking the results of the effects in the LCD monitor.

• Ultra-slim Design: The Exilim EX-Z250 has an incredibly slim design (0.8" thick), and it's so flat that it fits comfortably in any pocket - so whether you use it for work, at a party or while traveling, this little camera can always be right there with you, ready for action. The stainless steel housing gives the camera a unique appearance, while also providing superb durability - so you can use it anywhere and anytime.

• 9.1 Megapixel Resolution: The CCD Image sensor of the Exilim EX-Z250 supplies a rich 9.1 million pixels of full color brilliance and detail. Such high resolution photos give you the advantage that you can print them out in excellent quality or edit them on the computer. This means that enlargement of details and poster size photos are possible.

• 4x Wide-angle Zoom Lens: Though the EX-Z250 is as slim as your little finger, yet it features a versatile 4x wide-angle optical zoom lens so you can capture the details of your scene or get a tight close up. The wide-angle capability also makes it simple to capture large groups of people in tight spaces, get beautiful scenery shot and is useful for taking pictures of grand architecture or for use in real estate images.

• Mechanical Image Stabilizer: The Mechanical Image Stabilizer system that is incorporated into the EX-Z250 uses a CCD-Shift mechanism to compensate for subtle camera movement that can lead to blurred images. It also allows users to shoot handheld shots under low light that would normally be impossible to get without image softening blur.

• 3.0" Wide-Screen Display: The 3.0-inch wide-screen TFT color display of the EX-Z250 is so large and wide that it takes up almost the entire rear side of the camera, and provides a clear view of your images and video clips.

• Best Shot Scene Modes: The cameras Best Shot scene modes enable selection of the appropriate camera setting for still photos via an easy to understand sample image menu, so you'll be able to take beautiful pictures, regardless of the shooting situation or your particular photography expertise. Simply select the sample scene that resembles the type of image you are trying to record and the camera is configured automatically with the applicable recording mode, Auto Focus setting, and more.

• Easy Mode: The Easy Mode simplifies the camera settings to three easy menus (image size, flash and self-timer). With Easy Mode, the camera is set to take great photos in every situation without having to check presets and prevents users from accidentally using an inappropriate setting or making a wrong adjustment.

• Face Detection System: The Face Detection system ensures that, once the focus locks on to a person's face, it will stay sharp and maintain the right exposure, even if the person moves; thereby making it much easier to capture beautiful portraits.

• Makeup Function: Ensure that all of your portraits look their best with the innovative Makeup function. This function takes advantage of the cameras advanced processing engine to smooth skin and soften facial shadows people's faces caused by harsh sunlight.

• Enhanced Responsiveness: Once powered on, the camera is ready to take pictures in approximately 2 seconds, and after the shutter is snapped, pictures are taken almost instantly, with only 0.008 second release time lag. The "Direct On" buttons allow quick startup of both shooting and viewing modes, and the camera also has High-speed image viewing at approximately 0.1 seconds intervals.

• Movie Mode with iTunes Compatible H.264 Video: The EX-Z250 is able to Record movies with sound at broadcast quality using the H.264 video standard, which utilizes the AAC audio codec widely used in Apple's iPod and other mobile devices, and can continue recording at lower resolution as long as there is memory available. The camera can also produce an audio snapshot (with audio recorded at the same time as the image or added later), and is equipped with a Voice Recorder feature.

• YouTube Capture Mode: The YouTube capture mode records high quality video with higher compression for fast uploading and includes an exclusive software application that makes it seamless to upload movies to YouTube in as few as two steps. This technology will also allow users to upload multiple videos at once, making it easier than ever before to share original content online.

• Built-in and Expandable Memory: The EX-Z250 has 38.5 MB of internal memory so you can start shooting immediately. The storage capacity can also be greatly expanded with a Secure Digital (SD), Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) or MultiMediaCard (MMC), so you can save large numbers of photos and record movies in excess of an hour or more in duration.

• Super-Life Battery: The EX-Z250 is extremely efficient in its power usage and includes a high capacity NP-70 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery which provides so much power, that the camera is ready for use at that decisive moment and takes over 250 shots on a full charge.

• Direct Print Capable: The camera supports PictBridge Direct printing so you can print out beautiful images with out the need of a computer. Just connect the camera to a PictBrige compatible printer and print your favorite pictures the way you want them - it is that easy.
