I haven't used it long, so I can't attest to it's durability. What I can attest to is ease of use and usefulness. I have had a lot of batteries kicking around, both "heavy duty" and alkaline. I am making the switch to rechargeables now, but I don't want to simply toss the old batteries. Problem was that they had gotten fairly mixed up. Some were old, some were already effectively used up, and some were like new.
It took only minutes to sort through and discover that about half of the loose batteries were like new or almost so, and the rest were dead or nearly so. They had ALL been unusable, though, because I didn't want to mix the bad and the good.
Now all my batteries are good, and this is just about the easiest device I have ever operated. Stick the battery in. 5 green lights come on and go off for a few seconds. Then 0 to 5 of the lights come back - indicating the remaining charge. This device has already saved me money!

It is a really neat little gadget. Gives me the readings on the charge left in my batteries and lets me tell when the life span is up. Very important when you are at a photo shoot.

I use a lot of batteries to power microphones in my video production business. I needed something I could take on location, that wouldn't be a mess to test out batteries in my run bag.
This tester is small and compact and works great ! It does not test C or D cell batteries, but it does everything else, including 9 volt.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a portable tester to take with them.
