We bought this pop-up shade & the 3" pop-up shade as we were not sure which would fit best. It turned out that we used the 3". We will keep this one as a back up. I would buy these pop-up shades for any camera that has a LCD screen as they are the best for protection & good to use in bright light.

Shooting outdoors with a digital camera is extremely difficult when you can't see the subject. If you don't have an SLR camera, This shade is a must. It's extremely easy to install and use. It folds down nicely to protect the screen when packed away. The frame stays on the camera but the hood can easily be removed when you don't want to use it. I'm not trying to sell this. I own it and I think it's great with no drawbacks.

It fits perfectly ion my Fuji Film Fine pix S1500. Covers and protects the screen well. But you do have to remember to take your time putting it on your camera.

I bought the pop-up shade for my Fuji W1 3D camera, and it fits perfectly around the digital viewing screen yet doesn't cover the controls on either side of it. I can now seen the screen much more clearly in sunlight. It's sad that it isn't removable at will, but its utility outweighs that possible flaw.

Tried using it, fell apart in less than 10 usages. Really flimsy, cannot recommend at all.

My experience with these shades is that they work well on some cameras and not so well on others. I attached this shade to a Panasonic Lumix ZS5 with a 2.7 inch screen and it works very well. I have used it on very sunny days and have been glad to have some extra shade over the camera's view screen.
The only complaint I have is that it is sometimes difficult to open, but it does seem to be getting better (looser) as it gets broke in.

Attached easily to camera. opened easily, brilliant display inside. Have not been out in sun, as sunlight has not been plentiful.

Grandaughter latched onto camera for school project - no feedback yet.

I bought this hoping it would shade the LCD but, quite often, there was more glare than there had been without it. At least it does provide protection for the LCD without adding much weight or bulk.

Easy to remove when indoors (though must do so carefully to keep from breaking attaching hooks); allows shooting in bright sun possible; sticks to back securely (I don't like the "protective clear screen" covering the LCD and wish that it were removeable). I've been using on my other Point & Shoots for sometime now and would recommend it.

This would cover the manual buttons on the device. It also is a stick on device which means you could not shut the camera normally. This is no big deal because you can spin it around reversed.

It was included with a small camcorder. With it attached you can't close LCD screen. It glues on! I put it on a pocket camera and find it a nuisance.

I got this for my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35. I originally put a peel on/off LCD screen protector over the LCD, but that ended up being totally unsatisfactory. I put these popup shades (smaller version, same manufacturer) on a couple other digital cameras with great success in the past and decided to go ahead and do the same for the new camera after the peel on/off sheets didn't do the trick. I have been very pleased with the results. It protects the LCD, offers me shade in bright sun making it easier to compose a shot and it's durable. [...] I'm very happy with my purchase.

It adheres to your LCD via double stick tape. I wish I thought more about it... The tape would need to go over my menu buttons. It's cheap, so I'm debating [...] I know I'm not going to use it.

We have bought 2 other mini pop-up shades to put on our Kodak cameras & found this product to be excellent buy. It helps to view the LCD monitor in bright light & also protects the LCD monitor from damage. Glad we were able to find these products.

It works as promised - allowing you to see the camera screen even in sunny conditions. This was included in a kit that I bought for an FS200 camcorder, and it does not work with this camcorder but I decided to use it on my digital camera.
