Comments about Blank Aperture Kit for Lensbaby Lenses (10 Pieces):
A little tricky to get used to but you'll have a blast when you do! Very cool effects and being able to create your own design is awesome. These discs can be punched with paper punches to create unique shapes in hightlights in photos. It's tricky at first but when you get the hang of it you can create some really cool composistions.

Comments about Blank Aperture Kit for Lensbaby Lenses (10 Pieces):
These blanks are meant for you to create your own aperture shapes (rather than the standard Lensbaby circles -- not so standard for most lenses!). These shapes create interesting 'bokeh' style effects, especially in nighttime shots where there are sharp variations or small points of light.
You can use craft punches or a craft knife to cut out any shape. I used a variety of craft punches, including a Sizzix press, and found that the smaller stand-alone craft punches worked the best. The Sizzix press wouldn't cut through the magnet/plastic even with several presses, but it did leave a clear cut which could be easily finished (if you have a steady hand) using a craft knife. Be careful of the surfaces you use to cut on, as the magnet/plastic is very sensitive and may become easily scratched.
Don't bother buying your own punches, though, if you have any scrapbookers in the family. With craft events around the country, there are hundreds of people ready to punch one of these apertures for you.
When using the product, keep in mind that focusing your lensbaby will cause shape of light caused by the custom aperture to flip. It can be fun to see the natural distortion, but if you are trying to create a specific image, you may be frustrated by having to readjust the aperture to suit.
